How was the CONCERT?
. It was amazing and from the third row it was THE MOST blissful experience ever! Oh, how will I ever be able to attend another PM concert from anything less! Paul was in fine form and his voice sounded so good. The band killed it, of course. I was so happy he played ISHST near the end as it's one of my most favorites! Thank you, Paul. I was surprised, tho, that Paul's special guests did not take the stage. We saw Joe Walsh and Jeff Lynne behind us a few rows but it seems they were there as spectators only. Paul's Hey Bulldog was great without their input. At the piano Paul dedicated My Valentine to his wife Nancy and The Long And Winding Road to Linda. I really enjoyed the graphics and videos from the Early Days!! A bit bleary this morning but feeling the LOVE!

John Lennon wrote Hey Bulldog. Doesn't look like Paul played it last night, or did he?

He swaps out I Saw Her Standing There with Get Back. BTW did anyone actually see Ringo or is that just a rumor? I know for certain Joe Walsh was there. He was seen with his wife.
I was sitting directly in front of Nancy. Literally. I was in row 8, seat 2. And she was in row 9, seat 2. Her body guard had the aisle seat. Barbara Bach, her sister and a few other people were with them. Ringo wasn't with them.

I'd like to apologize to the sign holders. In previous posts, I criticized you. However, last night, the sign holders didn't bug anyone. Here's what did. A lady brought her lap dog! Yep. You read that right. I hope that little guy didn't freak out too much. I do hope that he pooped in her purse. Also, if you're going bring your 5 year old. YOU NEED TO BRING EARPLUGS. Poor little girl was having fun at the beginning but later cringing and holding her ears because of the volume. Anyway, it was a great show.
The fans were ok with my signs. It was the Dodger Stadium workers who were asses. The minute my mom put up her sign, they told her "the next time she puts up her signs that they were going to take it away." We told them a Paul doesn't have a problem with it and we weren't going to listen to what they said. Ha they were so rude. I was only a little hesitant at some points in the show cause I was sitting directly in front of Nancy. Literally. I was in row 8, seat 2. And she was in row 9, seat 2. Barbara Bach, her sister and a few other people were with them. But the Dodger Stadium staff was kind of rude to her people too. They told her bodyguard that she didn't have a seat and that she couldn't sit there (cause they had brought an extra chair for someone, I believe the body guard) and they were giving them crap. The body guard was going to go complain, but Nancy had told him that is was "ok" and "to let it go."

Funny...you can't be mentioning songs that he could have done...or we think you meant that he did them!

I was there with my son and we didn't see anyone famous. But we did sit next to the Dodgers chef, her husband, and his brother. Very nice people all around us actually.

The ambiguity of that video notwithstanding, Paul's state-of-mind suggests that he thinks he's still a Beatle.

I for one, had a great time. Thank you, Paul! He sounded strong from where I was sitting on the floor in the back. I was surprised to find that from there the roar of the crowd from the upper decks was deafening at times. My ears were hissing for several seconds after things settled down. It was awesome, though. Lol. Overall the audience was really up and loud during the whole concert, unlike my experience at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago. Or maybe it was where I was sitting. Audience hand held lights were beautiful during Let it Be. Fireworks were fun, as usual. I sat next to some young rocker guys who had never seen Paul live before, so that was fun pointing things out. They were most grateful for the heads up on the Live and Let Die fireworks. Somebody remind me never to use an iphone for a concert again. All my pictures sucked, and video was barely acceptable. This is the only thing I got for barely useable video (audio is fine but a little loud): Everybody Out There

The video is not ambiguous at all. He refers to not being there for a while, and says we'll play "longer this time." I wasn't even alive when The Beatles played Dodger Stadium, and I knew the connection. The idea that you're disappointed that a longer show on the "Out There" tour didn't materialize is laughable. The man is 72 years old, yet he played 37 songs in 3 hours. What more could you want?

...he is a Beatle!
-
I was expecting something more along the lines of what he did in Seattle last year. Remember? That was a longer show -- and he held is own for a 72-year-old man.

Yeah -- and so is John Lennon.

I'm a huge Tom Petty fan. He plays 20 songs a night. He is someone who I think could play a longer show, given that Paul plays 38 songs. If there's one thing you can't complain about with Paul, I think the length of the shows would be a contender.
-
Anyone got photos of last night's LA show? Sounds like you guys had a fabulous time with Paul. Wish I could have been there too.

I got some good ones of him playing the Casino during Paperback Writer!

I just want to chime in and echo everyone's thoughts about the concert last night. Paul and the band were on fire! Though the setlist hadn't changed much since I last saw him, for whatever reason, it didn't bother me too much. I think the overall mood of the audience (and their reaction to the songs) allowed me to divorce myself from being annoyed with the lack of changes, lol. The stories on the other hand... But, anyways, it was a great show!
