If Paul could read my message, I'd say thanks for all the music. It's really helping me through some rough patches. (A friend just dumped me because he confessed he hates McCartney and says it took him a while, but he's finished with me as we have little in common anymore). I put on Paul's music and decided Paul's music is worth it. (not to mention my friends in the fandom both online and in real life) but it still hurts a lot as this friend is very important to me.
sorry to read that KO. And I do agree that his music can get one through some of the rough times in life. He would be be glad to hear that he can help us.

I don't think that he is a real friend, if THAT'S the only reason he dumped you. The taste in music is not a reason to end a friendship, it shouldn't be. I don't care if a friend listen to Paul or to Lady Gaga, at least everyone has his or her own taste, so a friendship should not built up on that or should be at least stronger than disagreeing on a movie or a music-artist.

the 2nd question I would ask if He had trouble reading my handwriting. I am dyslexic and some people have difficulty deciphering what I write love doris

I think I'll refrain from putting a question to the poor bloke....as if he hasn't got enough to do being an international icon he doesn't need to be dealing with our crazy questions too. If the great man even bothered to peruse my posts he'd be most perturbed. After spending what seemed like an eternity shifting uncomfortably in his bath chair, sweating buckets, he'd retreat to his panic room and stay there for the duration....even Nancy in a some sexy French silk negligent couldn't get him to open up......

yip, born and bred in Glasgow and I'm a Macca aswell, albeit, not a McCartney lol
I used to be a Macca (ex-husband McGrew) but now have an English surname.

Nancy R Thank you..... It's the medication that makes me behave that way you know. I fear it's only a matter of time before I push it too far (a common failing of mine) and I'm banned. Bet some on here can't wait!......

I'm just playing it by hand. I haven't contacted him (except for a few rants which he said I was entitled to do) though several mutual friends have contacted me to ask questions or show support. I'm just wondering about my birthday in January. It'll be weird.

great idea Oobu, i'll get the doll and pins, maybe afterwards we could burn him at the stake.. :

Voodoo dolls and burning at the stake......nah, far too bland! What we do really well here in dear old blighty is the old medieval party game called being hung, drawn and quartered. Now that should bring them back into line, with their eyes watering of course (although you may need a large holdall to carry all the body parts if you intend nipping down to Starbucks with them anytime in the future). Oh the fun we Brits had in ye olde times.... You could have a nice ducking stool too, and of course the stocks....with an assortment of rotten veg extracted under torchlight from the dumpsters at the back of your local hypermarket to throw at the poor msicreant.... BTW.....the ex-friend sounds like a prat! You're well shot of him Kathryn.
