I understand you, but I promised myself that I won't look this time

I usually don't chime in too often - but the thought of Hershey Park in August just doesn't do it for me. I think I'd have to hold out for the rumored NJ. I thought Penn State was a nice venue or even Philadelphia although he did those last year. I guess the older I get, there is something to be said for air conditioned arenas. I was hoping for an east coast date - but with my luck it would be 90 degrees with a early evening thunder storm - I'd have to pass on that one

Guess this is what happens after annual touring. He shouldn't have done the US in 2015, demand would've been higher this time around and he wouldn't have to do Hershey
Not quite. The thing is...he doesn't have to do anything. By doing less dates in each region, he increases the demand. If he actually does two nights in DC, something in Jersey, and a stop in NYC most likely...Hershey is really not a necessity and I think he would likely boost sales in DC by leaving it out. I'm not convinced Hershey will sell out. He didn't sell out in Charlottesville in 2015 or Pittsburgh in 2014 and those are about 15,000 & 20,000 capacity, respectively...and Hershey is definitely a smaller market than Pittsburgh.
I honestly think a US tour this year is a bad logistical idea for McCartney. His US shows last year either didn't sell out or barely did. My father and I outside the Columbia show met up with some higher up companions at the university and they said the show only sold out an hour before showtime. The other problem was the venue ticketing system was flawed, but to be the biggest single artist in the world and not even sell 10,000-12,000 tickets, take a break and go to places with higher demand like Australia, Asia, South Africa... DC will detract from Hershey which will detract from NYC and so on.

Problem is, the dude will be 74 in June. I'd say this could very well be the last big tour.

Guys, I think I need your help. I've created 5 orders with Crowdsurge of which I emailed them to cancel 4 of them (and emailed them all 4 order numbers). I think they screwed up and canceled all 5 and I may be left with no Vip Platinum ticket for the sold out concert in Cordoba. I have been emailing them since yesterday and no one is responding. What should I do? I am kinda desperate here. I had row #9 Seat 21 in front of the stage. Thanks.

Are you able to call them and see if one of the orders can be kept? If so, provide order numbers for each transaction and be very clear which order you want to keep. I have never delt directly with Crowdsurge support, but had a similar issue with TM several years back and the issue was resolved fairly painlessly. Good luck! Fingers crossed for you!

How could you even cancel any orders? I thought once you ordered they were non-refundable?

All his tours made sense to me up until about 2009, then things started to get messy, IMO. What are his handlers doing? What are they thinking? For example: he played Minneapolis in late 2014 at a stadium show. Now, he is doing two arena shows there. But Denver, which is a big city, has not had a McCartney show since 2010. Also, a show in Portland, Seattle and two in Vancouver?? Those cities are all about an hour from each other. I know there is a density of population between those three cities, but in the meantime, nothing in the Rocky Mountain area. Nothing.

I think part of the problem for not selling out completely in recent years in the NE was the same old tour name/same show. IF this one has a shake up with set list quite a bit, I think he can swing some more sell outs even in areas within close proximity. Every tour, fans assume it could be his last, and by the magnitude of this one, I think he's trying to soak up areas he can as he himself may think it could be his last opportunity to visit. My theory is that he won't be doing large scale tours forever, and personally, I'm going to take every chance I can get to see him while he's still doing it. 30 years from now, I'll be sitting around thinking "wow, I could go for a Macca concert right now" Let's just see where the chips fall, and enjoy the fun!

The Stadium is absolute S**T and WAY below par for him. The Giant Center would be just fine but I really cannot believe Paul McCartney is going to be in Hershey...I don't really know how to react to this. Do we have anymore insight like...when? Or which venue? I'm just kinda in disbelief.
I've only been to the venue once, and that was just for my daughter's marching band competition about ten years ago. Am I remembering correctly that seating there is just bleachers?

Sorry, friend, you don't know the Pacific NW. The three cities may be somewhat close to each other, but they're more like 3 hours apart than one. The distance between Seattle and Vancouver is about 150 miles, but you also have to cross the border and that can add significant time - I know, because I've probably made that drive at least 30 times...

They are refundable if you cancel within 24 hours on crowdsurge.

Crowdsurge/songkick has e-mail only support. And I clearly stated which Orders I wanted to keep, but they canceled them all. I already have plane tickets and hotel reservations, but it seems I no longer have a ticket! Anybody have any ideas on what should I do beside emailing them which I've been doing since yesterday?
-
I assume you already sent them copies of your original email stating which orders to cancel. I hate to say it, but the ticket you wanted to keep has undoubtedly already been resold to someone else.

Fair enough! I don't feel bad for you.

Yes. I know. So my only hope is get an equal or better seat. Luckily it was all done through email so their screw up is very clear. Now what do I do??

But if I tell you that the closest of those cities is 430 miles from me, do you feel bad for me THEN?

Billy Joel just sold out his 36th MSG show in a 3 year span. Paul could easily fill 3-4 nights there on a new tour.
