Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors
-
5th-beatle:
Rumors keep gaining momentum here in Brazil: Porto Alegre (where Paul did a concert in 2010) has also been mentioned as a possibility. So right now at least 3 or 4 cities are being considered. Some sources say the tour will be the in the usual April/May period, others that it will be later in the year, which would probably mean (equally as usual) November. I think this time Argentina has a good chance as well, due to political and economic changes that are slowly coming up (like a flower).
About fucking time!

Every year he goes to countries he had never been to before. Maybe not as many as we would like him to, but they are there. For example, in the past 5 years: 2010: Puerto Rico 2011: Peru and United Arab Emirates 2012: Uruguay, Paraguay and Colombia 2013: Poland 2014: Ecuador and Costa Rica 2015: South Korea And even though he keeps returning to countries in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia, he always includes cities he had never been to. I guess it's a matter of time until he visits a few other "new" countries.
I like your optimism, but the only Asian country he keeps returning to is Japan, which is understandable. Japan is great. If he has a problem with Asia, that's his business, but it is the largest continent in the world. More people live in Asia than out of it. Half of the world lives in China, India and Indonesia, none of which he's ever played. So he's basically ignoring most of the people on this planet. That's his right, of course, but ignoring Asia on a world tour is like only playing New York and Los Angeles and calling it a North American tour.

I hope it's anounced with enough notice to get a vacation bid in at work!
those last minute plane fares can kill your bank account!

Great? It's lucrative, I grant you that.

So far no confirmed rumors for 2016 but how about this... If any board member wins the Powerball lottery this Saturday they host a private concert just for us boardies!

Now that's a great idea!

Some might say that almost sums it up.

I don't doubt it. But I put Japan on the great list because it's an awesome place to visit. It's not so lucrative for me since I always spend too much money when I go. Paul's experience is probably different from mine.

i really hope he comes to scotland but chances are tiiiiiny, i could do england but london might be a bit far... here's hoping england this year at least
although it seems very american based and probably japan way too with what he retweeted on the japanese twitter account. i haven't had the chance to see him yet but i really hope he heads this way soon!
I can't see Paul coming up here ever again. His last two gigs in Scotland (the SECC in 1990 and Hampden in 2010 both failed to sell out), so can't see him trying again - despite the Hydro now being available and ideal for an indoors McCartney show. The last twice we've seen him we went to Liverpool which is only a couple of hours on the train so it's no big hassle compared to going to London, for example, plus we made a wee holiday out of it.
You may be right but Hampden was almost sold out and had great reviews so I'm still hoping he'll come back. If not Northern England would be grand!
The problem was that Hampden wasn't selling very well, so they (MLP/Marshall Arts) apparently did a deal and heavily discounted tickets to people who worked in the NHS so a ticket that cost me £55 (plus fees when they were announced) ended up going for £10-15 through the new deal. Even that meant that the gig still didn't sell out.

well anywhere in the uk is fine for me (apart from northern ireland its always tricky!) hopefully scotland but i could even do london. i'm hoping for any month but may as its the only time hes no busy so if hes living it up in sunny south america then thats fine by me haha!
Liverpool's probably a better bet for you. You mentioned earlier in this thread about high train fares, and we (my wife and I) go to Liverpool every year for BeatleWeek in August (plus we've been twice more to see Paul live) and the return train ticket from Glasgow to Liverpool is less than £30 each, so I can't see it being much more from Edinburgh. Far cheaper than a train ticket to and from London, I'm sure you'll agree, plus the Echo Arena is really easy to get to and there are loads of good quality (affordable) accommodation options within walking distance.

Someone told me that according to a Japanese magazine, Paul will visit Japan in the summer. I don't know how reliable that info is.

Sounding like 2016 will be a redoing of 2015.
