Paul McCartney 2016 Rumors

Would Marshall Arts/MPL have to sanction press articles like above, isn't it in fact jumping the gun. If I recall, over the years the SA press tend to leak details well in advance of official announcements: still it hasn't seemed to have harmed the relationship between McCartney's people and the local promoters. A very interesting article nonetheless.
That's what baffles me as well. Disclosing that type of information in any type of a negotiation is a huuuuge faux-pas. I think if in Europe even a date would be leaked a few hours before announcement the manager will make a few angry calls already, haha. I guess they forgive them, knowing the pay check and valuable experience it will bring in the end.

It's all rumors. Paul's team surely get offers from all over the world every week.

There seem to be different rules for different parts of the world, just like there are different prices and fees. At least you can say he's flexible. I guess.
...or in our case intransigent and obstinate.

It is very interesting.. Why in Europe market of Paul rumours in reality doesn't exist, when in SA we know almost everything about his planned concerts 2 months before? Is that with case of his promoters or management? and my question is still... some concert in Czech Republic/Poland? BTW. Warsaw show was the night when he had opened "Out There". How many - for this moment - shows he announced in places where he had played on the last tour? Or how many places he will repeat?

USA, Canada, South America - rinse and repeat...

Well, they hint at trying to get Paul to agree to a lower fee, since the stadium size and local taxes means there's less revenue coming in for the concert....can't see how going to the press and giving info on ongoing negotiations is going to help their case. : Another article from the same newspaper says they're flying to London on Sunday, so the meeting would likely be Monday and so any announcements can't be sooner than late Monday/early Tuesday. http://www.lacapital.com.ar/contenidos/2016/03/18/noticia_0061.html If that's the case, they're cutting it real close, no? If something were to fall through now Paul would lose out on 4 possible shows somewhere else and the stadiums might have lost out on other shows/events on those dates. Of course I don't have any concert promotion experience...

Very strange way secure a deal, playing it all out in the press. Nothing new for the South American media to do it. They have a history of leaks prior to deals being inked. Not the way of most other places. Still, it hasn't harmed their chances at all insofar as McCartney concerts, so good luck to them.

The anticipation created by the rumors leaked to newspapers leads to concert tickets being sold out in a matter of hours after going on sale. And we're not talking about arenas, but 50k seat stadiums. We love Paulie here and we forgive him for not performing in South America in 2015 after 5 consecutive years

Bob- As a fellow jerseyite shall I plan on taking my vacation on the east coast this summer?

What about the concert in Rome? Nothing new?
-
I guess nothing new pops up during weekends, so let's hope another drop might be dropped tomorrow or some day soon.

If it goes ahead, the stage won't be built in a day.
