This might have been taken the same day as the Life Magazine cover (Paul Is Still With Us) from Nov. 1969:
Finally found it! It was the same day.

Yeah, it looks like it's from the same photoshoot. Baby Mary is so cute! She looks just like Paul.

Trying to figure out what year this is. Any educated guesses?

Linda will always be remember ed and missed. What I loved about her was that she performed music with Paul and did other things with him and their family. She was a family person. Paul was very happy with her. And I know he still is and he still loves her very very much.

I would guess circa 1977... around the time James was born, but no way of telling for sure of course, unless we found another copy of this photo with a caption that identifies the date.
There appears to be another person on the other side of Paul, who's been cropped out, so this photo must have been taken at an event or backstage at a concert.

Oh I'm sure she'll always be in his heart, and that true love never dies and that she's still watching over him and all her family. But I'm also sure that because of her love for him she wouldn't want him to be lonely and sad... or unhappy in life. She'd have wanted the best for him, and would have wanted him to find happiness again, and to be with someone who would always take good care of him, and would always love him for himself, just as she did.

From 1974 - Paul, Linda, Mary and Heather with Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

Linda giving the British middle finger!

Oh I love this picture of Linda holding the cat. Yes I agree. I want to see Paul happy and well cared for. I would be very upset if someone made Paul unhappy. I believe Linda is always with him in spirit whatever he does whether it be onstage or at home with family.

Thanks, Nancy! I love this, such a sweet family photo, the kiddos look so cute here! Not sure it was taken in 1972, though, I think this is from 1974 when the family rented a home south of Nashville while Paul & Linda and the band did some recording.

I didn’t think it’s 1974 because look how young Mary and Stella are. They can’t be nearly 5 and 3. I was thinking it was summer or fall of 1972 because of that. (And Heather looks 9, not 11) Of course I could be wrong.
I was thinking also that Stella and Mary look too young for the photo to be 1974, but I was going by the porch and rocking chairs that were in other photos of the house they rented in Nashville. Of course, they could have spent time there earlier, in 1972. 1974 might not have been the only time they were in Nashville..
Leslie, I read that article (finally) you posted and I see that that has to be the same porch as in 1974. They were there in June, so Stella was 2 1/2, Mary was 4 1/2, Heather was 11 1/2. They all look so small in that pic, but maybe just because they were sitting down. As far as I know, 1974 was the only time they were in Nashville at that house. P.S. Jennifer and I are going to take a detour over there in May on our way from Nashville to Atlanta after AROTR up in Jeffersonville, IN (she’s going with me to see Paul in Greenville, SC on the 30th)

The 'family on the porch' photo was definately taken during the summer of 1974. It was first published in the Wings Official Fun Club newsletter No. 2. 1974. " On July 17th Wings arrived back in England after seven weeks of rehearsing and recording in Nashville, Tennesse."

Thanks, Kestrel and Nancy! I figured 1974 was the only time they stayed in Nashville and rented a house, but was just checking.
That will be fun for you to visit Nashville, Nancy, after AROTR. The farmhouse where Paul and Linda stayed must still be there.

Thanks Kestrel!
Jennifer lives in Nashville, so I drive up there, stay one night, then the next day we go to AROTR in her car (I drove last year) Then we come back, stay one night, then next day take both our cars to Junior’s Farm (another friend of mine saw it last year) then drive to Atlanta where I live. I will drive us to Greenville for the Paul concert (only 1 1/2 hours NE of me)
I understand they only paid $2000/week to rent that house. Can you imagine what it would cost today?!

Had never seen this photo before! Hard to believe in a few months it will be the 50th anniversary!
