I think Linda looks very much like her daughter, Heather, in that photo !!

Yes, she does, it's a lovely photo, and they do resemble each other very much. Heather has kept out of the limelight for the most part. Last we knew she was living in England and still makes pottery, and other forms of art. Hope she is doing well.

^ As I understand it, she lives in her own home on Paul's property in East Sussex.
It's hard to believe that today was the 23rd anniversary of Linda's death.

That is hard to believe for sure! She contributed so much, and will always be missed.

Always a sad reminder that so much time has passed since the world has lost Linda...
That is such a lovely photo of Linda for the cookbook, with her fresh veggies and a spring bouquet. Where is that Oast house, just curious?

Lovely original artwork of Paul and Linda, from a past auction at https://www.icollector.com/Paul-and-Linda-McCartney-Signed-Print_i22737751
Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity..., a photo of Paul and Linda posing with the artist Christianne and the original drawing, and a printed letter of provenance from the artist detailing how she met Paul and Linda in Martinique in 1976, in part: “We all became friends, hung out in Martinique, and the portrait…was painted for them…Paul said they would hang it with pride in their bedroom.”

^ Linda looks fine, but Paul looks weird - more like Elvis than himself! Sorry, jmho.

Hadn't thought of that.... I think Paul looks like he did in 1976... but have to add that Linda's hand doesn't look quite right... But in spite of any imperfections, I think the artist managed to capture the love they had for each other, and how she must have seen them at the time, and still think it must have meant alot to them to have this.

I'm guessing this is from 1972 when Stella was a baby.
-
^ I agree. Late 1972. Dig Paul's shoes - did he wear them in the James Paul McCartney special?

Are you talking about the segment when the girls tap dancing had half black and half white and pink outfits? It looks like his shoes are silver here. In the segment when Linda is taking pictures of him while singing "I'm a Bluebird" he has cowboy boots on.
-
^ I guess that wasn't it. I know I've seen a photo of him wearing those shoes at another time in the early '70s.

Found it!

Wait a minute, these shoes front part, points toward Paul, in the photo with his family the front parts are straight across.
Linda has taken several photos and published ones with that handbag with all the strips on it, in the family airport photo, with the similar but different shoes.

^ Okay, Sherlock, you got me! The shoes are similar, but not identical!

Paul wore similar (although obviously different ) shoes during the Blackbird rehearsal performance at Abbey Road studios in 1968. These were red and yellow in colour.

They were orange and yellow.
This was June 25, 1967 so may not be the Blackbird shoes. Still looking.
Found the video on YouTube, but the color quality is so poor you can't tell!

I have the officially released DVDs, but no time today to check. I just always thought they looked orange and yellow. Who knows? Paul probably still has them since he keeps everything!
P.S. George has the same shoes only the colors are reversed and they look orange like his pants/trousers.
