Remembering Linda
-
This was posted on daughter Mary's instagram, for Mother's Day. Such a sweet family photo, probably taken by Paul.

Love this photo (from 1991?) Her necklace matches his shirt.

^ Love that photo too! I’m thinking more like 1993. He did Unplugged special in 1991 and he looks a tad older here. Of course I could be totally wrong! Lol! Kestrel?

Yes it could be from 1993, totally. I was thinking 1991 because his hairstyle and shirt reminded me of a press conference he gave in Ames, Iowa that year... but in looking at the link of the press conference I see it's from 1990.
As to whether the above photo is from 1993... Kestrel may be able to identify the year, but this is the video from Ames, Iowa I was just talking about..
I was trying to look for other photos where he's wearing that same shirt, but it would be difficult to judge, because he tends to keep shirts for a long time. I think that's great, though it shows that he'd rather be comfortable in a familiar shirt or outfit than to spend thousands of dollars on starchy stuffed shirts he'd only wear once and then throw out.

^ I remember that video!

Looking at the front cover of the Summer 1994 issue of Club Sandwich, Paul & Linda's hairstyles do look similar to the photo below so I think 1993 is probably a good a suggestion as any other.

Love their matching outfits. (Circa 1974?)
-
^ Wish I could remember what music video that was! I know I’ve seen it. Might be included in the RRS 1971-1973 set. Will try to check later.

Flip Wilson show 1972.
The whole band had on their orange coveralls.

Thanks so much, Oobu! So it's from 1972 then.
Found a link on YouTube of them singing on The Flip Wilson Show

^ Yes! That was one of the MANY video versions of MHALL in the 1971-1973 set!

Thought it was interesting what they did with the special effects in that video, was very well done!
This is a Wings poster, from a German magazine. Not sure of date, it wasn't given in the caption. Almost didn't recognize Linda at left, it's a different look for her, but I like it. She looks cool in an Abby from NCIS sort of way.

This photo (and others from the same session) have graced the covers of various bootleg dvds dating from Wings activities in late 1979.

Thanks so much, Kestrel! So it dates from 1979, the era of Back to the Egg... I'll have to re-watch the BTTE tv special, to see if they're wearing the same outfits.

This is a very nice photo of Linda. Caption says it was taken by Paul, but date wasn't given.

Look again - I think she’s just scratching her nose with her thumb.

I still think they were smoking although all the smoke is not by her.

I will be thinking of Mary and Stella Wednesday. I lost my mom when she was 58. 12 years before Linda passed away. Am glad that her Dr. had the courage to let her get comfortably mystified in her dying days. I wish my mom could have.
