Remembering Linda
-
Yes, I "seriously" think this, because it happened. Before he got married again to Nancy, actually. Happened BEFORE.
-
Oh I didn't know it was from that LONG ago. But whether Nancy was in the picture or not why would he call someone else Linda?
-
I thought it was 'cause I fought for him raising hell whenever anybody dissed him in here. Like Linda reportedly always took up for him, quite vehemently. I couldn't tolerate it. Nor could she. At the time, some vicious anti-Macca battles raged here--it's been relatively peaceful since.
-
Ok. That explains a lot.

Susy, I didn't say I didn't believe you...I actually believe Paul can be a bit of a prankster! Someone else on here said he called them and they didn't believe it was him. (a while ago before Nancy) Of course if you just woke up, you'd be a bit out of it. I'm sure I've seen him a few times, I was on the phone with my sister, once in London. By the time it registered to me, I hung up on her and ran up the street!! He was chuckling as he walked by too but disappeared into the crowd. His eyes always give him away. . I even bet his American accent slips to British here and there... He did a bit with Jimmy Fallon with switched accents, that was cute...

Honey Boo BooooThanks, y'all. I don't know why anybody else would call me out of the blue and say "Linda Louise Linda." I don't know anybody who would. Except Macca Music Man And I don't know any old Jewish ladies who sound like they're from New York

This made me think about the photo exhibit of Linda and Mary's photos in NYC. It was so nice to visit with some photos of Linda's again, as well as some of the new ones! Mary's photos followed along with Linda's. A very enjoyable show. Is that exhibit going up anywhere else? How about the exhibit of Linda's photos that was in France and Korea, is that coming to the U.S. ? I saw bits from the French opening and it looked so interesting...

Thinking of Linda on this April day. I met my husband 30 years ago. I'm still absolutely in love with him and part of the credit goes to Linda and Paul. I thank them for providing me with a REALISTIC picture of what a long lasting loving relationship looks like. Turns out marriage isn't a bed of roses. All marriages have their ups and downs, their trials and tribulations, wonderful times and awful times, times when it couldn't be better and times when you're not sure it will continue. But if you can ride this bronco with persistence, love, and forgiveness you can find yourself, years later, still very much in love with your spouse and eager to spend time with him/her. Paul and Linda made this look so desirable that I made riding the marriage rollercoaster a priority in my life. No matter what problems the world can throw at me, I've won because I still adore the man I live with. Thanks Paul and Linda ( wherever you are in the universe). It's the best lesson you could have possible taught me! http://img2-ak.lst.fm/i/u/arO/574b2146da93401dad184471b7eea839

True--theirs was an inspiring union, their marriage gave hope for the state of matrimony being desirable and worth working for no matter what twists and turns in the "long and winding road"--that it's not just restrictive non-inclusive wedlock with emphasis on the LOCK, but can be freeing for both partners somehow. Theirs illustrated that sunny outlook on the marriage tradition.

Had to believe it will be 18 years on April 17th. I remember it being easter break week, during 8th grade, when I found out. I was gutted.
-
Ya, how can that many years have gone by? I'm so happy to see that Paul and Nancy appear to be a very loving couple. Who deserves to be happily married more than a man who is all about love and seems to place a high value on being a husband!
-
Can't believe it was 18 years ago today that we lost Linda. RIP beautiful lady. X

I have been thinking of Linda these past few days. Sending love to Paul and Family.?

Thoughts of Linda today... A beautiful light in the world who was taken too soon. With deepest sympathies to everyone who knew her. Her heart and spirit remains with us and her many accomplishments, endeavors and Joie de Vivre are still a positive influence today. May God rest her soul in eternal peace and comfort her family.
