Remembering Linda

Thought this was such a beautiful and moving tribute to Linda today, posted by Stella McCartney in honor of her mother. https://www.instagram.com/stellamccartney/
As Mother's Day arrives here in Britain, I need to pause and reflect on my Mother. The depth to which she has inspired my life is unimaginable. She was a mum with unconditional love, she was a true beauty inside and out. Comfortable in her own skin and her sense of style was like no one else around, which inspired me to try to not be anyone I am not in my life and her natural confidence is at the core of my principles and dreams for all the Stella women I touch through my work. Her love of animals inspired my responsible beliefs and along with dad, they taught me to look at the world around me and to serve it and respect it in all I do. I look at my babies and as their mum all I want is to be as great as my mother was to me. I love you Linda Louise. x Stella

In memory of Linda McCartney 24 September 1941 - 17 April 1998 I never knew you of course, but thank you for being such an inspiration to me in becoming a vegetarian. I still look to your cookbooks and videos for guidance. You were such a wonderful wife, mother, and no doubt friend to everyone who knew you, and to the animals you loved and helped take care of, and also to the countless millions who loved the music you helped create with your husband. And can't forget to mention how much your photography has inspired and captivated millions of people as well. I'm sure you're still looking down on your loved ones from heaven, and will always be with them in spirit. For those of us who never knew you, we'll always appreciate you for making this world a much better place. .

Wow, 19 years... Never met Linda but I love her like she's a dear friend. And I love her photographs, her love to animals, the way she helped and incourage Paul and every little thing about her. Lovely Linda will always be missed. I love that video because it shows what Paul said that was ''one of the best days of our lives'' and they look happy and so cute and Junk is my fave song:

Oh my goodness, thanks for sharing this video. Everytime I saw Paul holding baby Mary in his jacket, and Linda holding Mary too of course, couldn't help getting a little emotional... was so sweet! In spite of all the Beatle problems Paul was facing with the other guys, that must have been such a happy time for he and Linda, with the birth of their first child, and building a life together. She was meant to be with him, and give him the support he needed, and was such a good wife and mother, and a good person in her own right in being such an amazing photographer and animal rights activist.

Thought Vicki Lawrence was a much better interviewer and down to earth person than Oprah was. (She had interviewed Linda in 1984 and I felt she had asked her too many personal questions which weren't anyone's business.) And as always, thanks to oobu24 and hey_kittay for sharing such great photos! Found this one a few minutes ago... thinking it might be dated around 1993.

I've really enjoyed reading the comments and watching the videos. Linda was truly an inspiration in her own right. Although, I've never met her...her presence and voice lives on... Through her photos she comes alive. Jimi Hendrix playing his guitar," jumps" out on the gallery wall. Larger than life...there's Paul, with the reddest Rose in his mouth... In a little side room... Velvet dark Barbadian boys stark contrast on a bright sandy beach. A loving mother and wife catching the right moment... Snap! A pony inside the house!!! A scrape in a mirror, strategically place Glass kettle Turns a tree upside down
