Wonder what the story is with this photo, taken at Abbey Road studios.
This photo reminded me of this: I am reading Derek Taylor’s book As Time Goes By, and he tells the story of how, in 1969, one of the girls who worked at Apple on Savile Row arrived with a donkey which was a gift from Jeremy Banks, a photographer’s agent. Derek ended up taking the donkey home! (he had a lot of land and already had horses, etc., and 6 kids!)
This photo is clearly a Shetland pony and was taken years later.

Thanks, Nancy! Will have to read Derek Taylor's book, glad he was able to find a good home for the donkey!
Wonder if the Shetland pony was a gift for one of Paul and Linda's children?

When they went to the church to have their marriage blessed, and Paul had changed his tie:

It's interesting how we've both mentioned about Paul wearing ties today, lol. My post in the Paul's Parents thread about his parents probably making him dress proper with a shirt and tie when he was a little boy, and you've commented before about Paul's ties on his wedding day. Guess he was always taught the importance of "dressing properly"... when Brian Epstein began managing the Beatles, and had them wear their Beatles suits, he probably stressed as well the importance of a shirt and tie.
Later the Beatles style was more for comfort, but I think what Paul was taught earlier in his life, and his early professional experience no doubt influenced him wanting to dress especially nice on his wedding day. I doubt he would have wanted to wear his granny afghan vest when he and Linda exchanged vows, lol. It was one of the most special days of his life!

Love the cool shades!

He looked SO GOOD on his wedding day to Linda (and Nancy!) I remember I was so happy he had shaved off that awful beard! (Sorry beard lovers!)

What does everyone think of "The Linda McCartney Story" (made for TV and broadcast by CBS in 2000). Elizabeth Mitchell played Linda, and Gary Bakewell played Paul.
Thought the actors playing Paul and Linda did very well, and it was a very good tribute to her life. No one can truly capture Paul and Linda's personalities and love for each other, that would be impossible, since they were one unique, special and one of a kind people, and can't be imitated. But I enjoyed watching the film.

I am also a fan of the movie, although many people in the past bashed it on here. I think I’ve seen it about 6 times and I cry every time during her death scene!
Did you know Elizabeth Mitchell and Gary Bakewell got married after they made the movie? (They divorced after a short time)

Yes, that death scene always gets me too!
No, didn't know the actors got married after the movie was made. They probably were so into the characters they were playing, that's what brought them together. After a while though, they probably realized they couldn't keep playing Paul and Linda... it's something a lot of actors go through though. Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle had a fling while making "Pride and Prejudice" but broke up about 3 months after filming was completed. There's many other actors this has also happened to that are too numerous to mention, lol

OT, I know, but one marriage that lasted is Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness. They met on her Australian show Correlli in 1995, married in 1996 and still happily together. Plus, she is now 63 and he will be 50 in October!

Yes, there are happily married couples who met on film sets. Hugh Jackman and his wife seem very happy together!
This photo of Paul and Linda must have been taken during a recording session, not sure of date.
