Exciting New peradventures of James Paul McCartney...

Voting ended, and I want to say that I'm a bit relieved, lol. It's funny how stressful something like this can be, worrying over votes, rankings, etc. Apparently, I'm more competetive than I realized. oops I have already stated this, but to tag on to Susy's post, there were quite a few amazing pieces submitted, and I'll happily lose to several of them. D

I'm glad this voting thing ended. Now that it is over, I keep thinkin' I still need votes. I keep having dreams, or make that Nightmares. The latest one is that there is a new contest, yeah, As a matter of fact this is it: Yup, only days left for this one. Anyway, the nightmare is that I find that I'm the only one who entered it! ...and if that isn't enough, I can't get a single vote!!! Podgie (and I'm sure my Banana-Wedding Cake Surprise is a winner!!!) Monkey

Podgie, you managed to capture cute and creepy simultaneously with this one. That takes a genius.

It asked for my location, and when I put it in, it said I demanded Paul to come here. I tried again, and it only allows one entry. That wasn't even my first choice...I was gonna pick Antarctica. Yup, noone's ever played their before, and I've never been. The penguins would love it! Plus it will be coming up on their summer, should be around -10F instead of -50F I suppose. Not sure if the band could play their instruments with mittens on though. Podgie (I bet the auroras are pretty cool down there also) Monkey

Looks like my amateur standing isn't in jeopardy. Not a winner for me. Does look great on canvas though. I guess they won't need the title card I made. Thought I would save them some time. Woulda looked great hanging up in a British Art Gallery. http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss178/PodgieTheMonkey/0d0eb4eb.jpg Congratulations to the winners. Podgie (remaining unknown artist) Monkey

Another one of Paul's crazy sweater vests! Did anyone notice in the Living in the Material World book there is a pic of George with a wild sweater vest/sweater combo that is a woman's sweater? Maybe he & Paul got theirs at the same store? (see video of Waterfalls)

I think they are Fair Isle. Very cool. Podgie (vintage clothes) Monkey

What is "Fair Isle?"
-
Try googling "Fair Isle Sweater Vest". The colors back in the 1960s - 70s were much more vibrant than todays drab earthy colors. Podgie (Master of fashion) Monkey

The answer I discovered is that "Fair Isle" is a knitting technique: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Isle_(technique) (I thought perhaps it was the name of a company)

It is funny how some things trigger memories. Fair Isle being an actual island off the coast of Scotland, reminded me that my father was stationed for a short time in the 304 Polish RAF Squardon on Benbecular Island off the coast of Scotland. It had me searching maps to see the relation. The islands are on opposite sides of Scotland. He met and married my Mother (who was in the Land Army) at Milden Hall in England. Small world. Podgie (odd to think, without WWII I would not exist) Monkey
