Paul Album Signing HMV London Friday 18th Oct.

Pop-Up show confirmed on Twitter: The tweet:
Paul McCartney @PaulMcCartney I'm getting ready to pop up in Covent Garden at 1pm today. Oh baby!
Get over, if you can leave HMV with your wristband ... Martin
-
I wonder how many from the signing made it to the Pop-Up? It will be great to hear their stories! Podgie (still wishing he was there) Monkey
-
I'm seeing photos and reports that people were already INSIDE HMV, so I wonder if they were able to go to Covent and be back, don't think so, seems that the concert started 2 pm instead of 1 pm, correct?

It started around 1.30 pm.

Distance and time-wise it would not have been an issue. We're waiting to hear back from signing attendees if they were able to go. Those that had waited overnight had been given wristbands at 8.00 am so presumably could come and go with their place in the queue protected by their wristband number. All assumption until we hear back from someone there... Martin

Let's wait, thanks, it's 3 pm already in London? or 2 pm? I'm seeing all the websites 'current time in London' shows 3: 04 pm, correct?

A few people on twitter are reporting to me that they'd been waiting 18 hours and Paul left before they could get an autograph. Lots of people in tears. Oh dear.

I hope you're telling those people on Twitter to take a chill pill and quit attacking Paul. If you're dumb enough to wait 18 hours for the possibility of an autograph, you should live with the consequences. There were no guarantees. And the pictures of HMV show that shop was packed with people, not to mention those outside. I'm sorry but these sorts of hysterical fans scare me. And then they end up ranting at Paul. : : : : : : They need a bit of perspective.

I really love it, I think its his best since perhaps Tug Of War, I just really like the songs and I buy into the production used because it works for the songs and it sounds NEW. Triumpant album for Macca IMO. Love New, Queenie, Save Us, Get Me Out Of Here, Appreciate, I Can Bet, Looking At Her..

I would take my anger out on HMV not Paul if it were me. That's what I probably did last time at the "Space Between Us" Virgin signing. HMV wants to create more hysteria to sell items at their store. Do they care how long and what conditions people endure at their signing when they don't even plan wristbands properly. Its a record store issue. Plain and simple.

You list is similar to mine except I'd add Alligator, Early Days, On My Way to Work. The only one I don't really like that much is Everybody Out There (bland lyrics). But aren't the bonus tracks a hoot? Especially Get Me Out of Here. Love that one.

Endure? Those people chose to camp out. With no guarantees. I understand disappointment. You chose to spend 18 hours there and it didn't work out. That sucks. But being hysterical and attacking people over this is nuts.

I'm with you there, GMOOH is a great jam! and good call I spaced on Alligator, that songs a trip, been loving it. They are all so good. There have been threads talking about Paul's lyrics, I was really impressed, even from the song New, that Paul really worte some good lyrics and meters and rhymes on this record. its a fun listen because of that, and along with the quality of the music.

Could anyone please confirm how many were signed? Facebook guy says his girlfriend didn't get thru (she arrived at 11 pm the night after thought), and says that about 35 people with wristband didn't get the chance, bit how many 'reserve' wristaband were given at 8 am? NME says he signed 500 people! how can it be! another news report says he was there only 50 minutes.
