Paul Album Signing HMV London Friday 18th Oct.

I am here and I was 20th in queue but due to inconsiderate so called fans allowing their friends to join the queue I am now about number 26. I am so mad they say they are fans. It they are just selfish

Hmv did a competition to give away ten wristbands and it turns out at least 2-3, maybe more, are putting stuff on ebay
this is jus unbearable and so unfair
-
Checked some of the hmv winners and a few are twitter accounts that you can see have only just been made, so were obviously created to increase chances of winning. All their tweets were just the same answers over and over and over. When will real fans actually get a real chance of enjoying Paul? Because this competition and lottery thing is a joke.

I know of some "real fans" who got into the radio gigs yesterday, so you can't judge by what you see. And these signing things are always dodgy, even a simple "first come, first serve" queue system doesn't stop people from slipping in and jumping ahead to get signatures. And HMV is making it very clear this time around that only the 60 winners are guaranteed, which is something they bungled badly in 1997. : So best of luck to those of you who are queuing! Agree that the people trying to sell on eBay are scum. And no, I highly doubt that Paul is going to sign more than 1 cd per person.

I get your point Frankie, really do, but I had to join twitter to enter the competitions. I really didn't want to join it but this was the only way to enter. I didn't win, but my account simply has things related to the competitions so these winners might be the same? Just fans desperate to win (although I was obviously too British and only applied 1x to each comp). Why when we've been members of these boards for years and fun club before that do we have to join something new to have a chance to win?? Sigh. And still wondering where the rest of the guaranteed places went? To anyone that goes, goodluck!

Same here, I reactivated an account just to enter so no visible activity on, I just hate Twitter, didn't win and it's now deactivated again! Having a Twitter account is no indication of a fan or not but good luck to the tue fans that won!

I am absolutely OVER THE MOON! I won a ticket from HMV to meet Paul McCartney tomorrow!!! Ellie won one from Paul
congrats- Shanna!!!!

by this time, I would have been arriving into London, so, it's 4 pm, right? By the time I went to Oxford Street will be like 5 pm. How many people are doing the queue right now? After reading about Ebay resellers, 60 direct people, and plane arriving too late,I've decided not to go.

The whole thing has been so unfair this time. I've applied for everything and got nothing, not even a reply from the Graham Norton thing saying no thanks. I thought this was the sort of thing that the premium membership was supposed to sort out. Oh for the days of the Fun Club when we at least got a chance of being picked to go to something and were only up against other real fans, rather than opening it up to the world. Oh well Paul is just succeeding in getting audiences full of non-fans who look bored stiff (if yesterday's Radio 6 thing is anything to go by) and the rest selling stuff on ebay. He's just making it harder and harder for all of us real fans
I agree, don't know why the competitions don't come direct to us in here!?

Agreed. There is really no "fair" way of doing this- I actually think they are trying harder this time. The 1997 signing was, indeed, complete chaos. It`s also worth remembering that the Fun Club was still running then, and being a member certainly did not put you at any advantage. The bottom line is, unfortunately, alot of Paul`s fans don`t play fair (and life isn`t fair...).

Anita & Rachel waiting inline for HMV signing- they are #10 & 11 in queue yeah! for them....
Good luck guys!!!!!!! So hope you get a chance to meet our Macca and full points to you for showing such dedication! I once waited from 10am- 12am for a Slipknot midnight signing session in may 2004. Now THAT was one of those moments you never forget, much like you guys waiting for Macca. Wish I could be there with you- good luck!!!

I agree totally and these events were made for Premium members to attend. I do think wherever these competitions are run some arse holes will get in ahead of fans and take advantage, makes your blood boil.

I have my reserve queue wristband and am In hmv waiting for paul to arrive in about 5 1/2 hours, hopefully will get to meet him after queuing all night with no sleep!

I don't understand the amount of griping going on here as to how board members should somehow be given a guarantee to meet Paul over other people at attend these events? Look at the worldwide registered members of this mesage board, its still under 59,000,a figure that doesn't even represent 1 in every (approx) 15 people who will be buying Paul's new album here in the UK....let alone the world. Lets face it, board members make for a very small percentage (roughly around 2%) of worldwide Macca fans and as such I can't see Paul going out of his way too much to get us ahead of his other non-registered fans.... and the general public.

Do your reserve wristbands now allow you to leave and come back later? How far away is Covent Garden? Keep an eye on Paul's Twitter: https://twitter.com/PaulMcCartney In case the rumour that Paul's Flight cases were seen in Covent Garden this morning mean something. Following it here: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=87570 Martin

I just wanted to put in my opinion. I realise I'm a newbie here but I have been trying like many people to get into these events this week have noticed the following that maybe some of you have encountered as well. 1. Simon Pegg with a front and centre view on tv for a radio stint that could only allow a strict number of people in. You applied early for tickets got on a "waiting list" and a rejection letter the day after the radio 6 or radio 2 appearances? 2.That shard event? tickets? uh no, send a question but who were the audience? 3. HMV told me the day the announcement was made about the signing they know nothing and all their info is straight from Twitter. I don't agree, sorry. Grand Opening of a store or not, that's not how it works when you have the responsibility of an instore this size, especially one that will shut down your store and require security, you don't not know basic info the week of the event. And if that was true, I wouldn't blame employees for quiting 'cause this is unfair to them. 4. What happened to the approx. 25 contest tickets left for this signing? I say give it to the standby queue because I'm done with entering contests and hearing about the ebay sales for sigs they didn't even get. 5. Graham Norton- don't. just don't. I think its best for me to just go take a walk.

Okay high alert for Covent Garden! http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3691/10343230503_677936d942_o.jpg A closed truck! With speakers each side.... looks familiar?! Martin
