You Gave Me The Answer, Questions for Paul feature.

so informative. Did you see next day they had 10,00 questions?
-
I'm glad someone from Brazil was chosen, but I bet there were better questions. And I'm sure Paul could have taken more than 10 seconds to come up with an answer.
-
Way to get the thing started with a bang, eh? I'm sure we all feel inspired to write in more questions, if we can possibly think of any sufficiently simple and boring questions, preferably requiring a YES/NO answer to avoid taxing the great man's grey matter too much! Paul, do you like animals? Paul, do you like Stevie Wonder's music? Paul, do you think war is bad? ....
-
Paul, is your name Paul? This one is better... he doesn't need to even answer it!

First Q&A is up. Wow. http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/27452-you-gave-me-the-answer-luana-from-brazil-asks
Oh, that made me tear up to read his response to the question. How sweet and I understand.

It is actually possible to go back and find examples of Paul giving interesting, frank and more extended answers to questions, if you go back 30 or so years. e.g. http://willybrauch.de/In_Their_Own_Words/mccartney1982_01.htm - the answers are actually much longer than the questions there!!

All I know is that question many could have asked Paul, but his simple answer made my heart skip a beat. What a beautiful answer from such a loving being. Peace & Love!

That is so embarassing and lame. McCartney and his staff should be ashamed of themselves. To treat fans with such disrespect is astonishing IMO.

I think is wrong to answer just ONE question by month, maybe his office needs make a selection of 10 questions by month, and not make just one raffle for give one answer. I'm agree that is a simple and sweet answer, but there are so much expectations that people could feel frustrated

Simple. I am sure many fans asked questions about his music and legendary career that were far more interesting than the question selected. This is the official Paul McCartney website and they make a big deal about fans asking McCartney questions and they select something about a "time machine" - LOL. It is disrepectful because there are so many fans here who have spent thousands of dollars on his records and going to concerts. They think they might get a chance to "talk" to their hero and this is what they receive in return. BTW - One question a month is a freaking joke also. I have lost some respect for McCartney due to this pitiful attempt at supposedly being open with his fans.

...well that was worth the wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can anyone actually get angry about this? Seriously? It's just a quirky little feature. (shrugs) They never said he was going to answer 10 questions. He was just supposed to answer one, right? Anyway, I liked the question and his answer -- both for what he said and what he didn't say. It's interesting to me that, here's a man who's lived 10 lives in his lifetime and done all sorts of things and has far more of everything (love, money, possessions) than any one person needs, and of all the places and times he could have chosen to return to, he picked the one thing in his life that he didn't get enough of, and the one person closest to him whom he no doubt has few memories of. Good answer. Kind of a Rosebud answer if you know what I mean. People presume too much, I think, about this feature. Makes me wonder if it wouldn't be better for him to be like Mick Jagger, Bowie, and all the others and never interact with fans at all because all he gets is grief when he does.

IMO- Don't do it at all if you are going to do one question a month. Really, the answer to the question might have taken maybe 30 seconds of his time - lol. Maybe I presumed to much and actually thought McCartney might answer a question about his music. Silly of me and others to think we might actually get his thoughts on his career. Bowie and Jagger have not been active in years and that is totally different than McCartney. Finally, if you think McCartney's quick answer to a question is "interacting" with his fans, then I guesss we just disagree.

Should we all ask the same question an get an answer ???
