I read he is supposed to sing a song titled "All of me".

Just like Eric said on the Kisses from the Bottom documentary, Paul owes him (Eric) one....he (Eric) got him (Paul)!

Should be good

Maybe Paul will play bass on a couple of Clapton's rockers, too.

Those two could do amazing things together if they wanted to. I see each having skills to make the others music better. I hope its a cool song.

I'm assuming that it's the American standard "All Of Me"... ...which, incidentally, reminds me of the hilarious Steve Martin/Lilly Tomlin movie from the mid'80s of the same name and featured that song as its theme.

I don't think I remember that movie. I'll have to look it up. I can't for sure think of the song.

Most likely, E.C. was inspired by his participation on Kisses On The Bottom -- the track could already be done. Who knows? A rock version of "all Of Me" would certainly get my attention.

LOVE the Martin/Tomlin movie--I've seen it more times than I care to admit. This album is mostly, if not all, covers of some blues and jazz songs that Clapton likes, like Paul with KOTB. Paul is supposed to just be on the one song, both singing and playing bass.

It's one that I watched a gazillion times when it was on cable waaaaay back when.

That's how I first saw it too. And then saw it, saw it, saw it, saw it... They had no shame in rebroadcasting films 20 times in a week.

Should be cool to hear the collaboration. Although the cover art doesn't look too inspiring, if amazon web site is correct.

Looks a bit like "And here's old dad (or grandad) right in front of some palm trees while on our vacation............."

Geez. You guys weren't kidding...

I heard that EC took the cover photo himself with his cell phone. (It's just a little better than Paul's watch camera photo on Driving Rain!) Not much I'd call rock on EC's new CD, mostly reggae and country covers in addition to a few bluesy and old standard songs. You can listen to a preview of the whole CD, including "All of Me" here: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2013/03/05/exclusive-hear-eric-claptons-new-album-old-sock-first/
