Funnily enough was just thinking about this the other day, I would love something like that, seems more personal and less 'I was once a Beatle once'

Of all the songs on that Unplugged album, no Paul song was post 1970. When you think of his output, even back in 1991, I remember thinking that was pretty unusual. Personally I would have loved George Harrison to have done an album in that style. Lots of his songs would have lent themselves to gentle acoustic arrangements. Seeing Dylan and Neil Young do one each, I thought George has got to do this! Sadly, it never happened.

I'd love it, but how about some more recent material? Friends to Go Anyway That Was Me The End of the End and how about... Sally G -- please????

Definitely Bluebird and I like your other selections. Toss in I've Just Seen a Face and also, On the Wings of a Nightingale that he gave away to the Everly Brothers in the early 1980s.

Wirh two albums in a row with heavy production, a back to basics Paul is most likely incoming, read my post on his 3 categories, so anyway, with a back to earth Paul imminent, do you think there is a potential for another Unplugged? Paul started a trend that was made even more popular by Erik Clapton, the Unplugged performances were very well done. Who wants another one?

Still a great idea. In an intimate setting, perhaps a 2 night stand. Tape both nights, pare the best performances down to a cd's/tv special worth. No fabs,....ok...he cant help himself so a COUPLE OF BEATLES ONLY! The rest...songs from his career (solo and Wings) NEVER done live and that WORK with an acoustic treatment. Hardcore fans would lap it up. Casuals can suit themselves. The big plus would be people would be aware that he is more than Mr Beatle. If it doesn't make number one, so what - none of his stuff does anyway. He still has some time left to do something like this. Will he? Of course not...
