NEW PAUL & NIRVANA SONG
-
21st Century Paul:
But still one can dream. lol. I disagree, George Michael is similar to Freddie, it can sound similar but he's not as great singer as Paul. Paul would sing Queen songs better than George and, anyway, my point of a replacement is a "real" replacement. For a singer-singer they do well with Adam Lambert, or they could use some of the greatest Freddie's impersonators. But, for a creative band as Queen were, Paul McCartney, hands down, no brainer. (Unless they discover me, lol)
Yep. One can dream But I maintain that George Michael's voice is better suited for the Queen material we know. But I agree that Paul might be able to make some good music with Taylor/May. But please....not a "Lulu"

Taylor/May... and Deacon. I don't believe he wouldn't comeback with Paul on it. They could be "McQueen" or so... lol The album of Queen and Paul Rodgers is very good. Actually better than some albums with Freddie...

Paul said they wrote it improv style in 3 hours. Maybe Paul is singing it to those critical of his recent vocal performances...

I don't think so because this is not a solo song, it' Paul AND Nirvana. I can hardly belive that Paul would involve anyone else in a personal message to the press or fans (which that song doesn't seem to be) But it might indeed work as a good message to those who wants to get it

The problem is people in Britain thinking Paul's voice has gone to complete sh*t, which is not hard to believe when in recent memory we've had rough performances on The X Factor, The Jubilee Concert as well as The Olympic Ceremony. In the US they've at least had The 2012 Grammys and the Benefit Concert, generally Paul has been in better voice in the US and people in Britain are nowhere near respectful enough of our national treasures and we haven't had as good performances when that is what we need over hear more than ever from our Macca.

I see "Cut Me Some Slack" more as the evil twin of MAF's "Feet In The Clouds."

Interesting point.

It's not just Paul's below par singing that's the problem in the UK it's also him being dragged out for every big event that comes along that seems to piss people off too.

i really don´t understand why here is talked about nirvana. nirvana was mostly driven by kurt cobain, dave grohl is so far away from what nirvana was, so this is a bit phoney

I wasn't the biggest fan of this the first few listens. It has grown on me, but still reckon it is a wasted meeting of the greats that are McCartney and the remnants of Nirvana.... Lots of comparisons made to Helter Skelter, but really it is the poor, destitute orphan version... Tries to be Gen-X'ish, and kinda succeeds in parts, but not Grammy worthy.

I tend to agree. (but if it wins I'll be happy!)

Yep!... If it does win, maybe they can release it as a double-A side with Appreciate.
