The Original Paul McCartney Picture Thread

Nancy R:
My 1989/1990 t-shirt that I got in Atlanta (See date below) is white with Paul in b&w holding his Gibson Les Paul and wearing one of those crazy striped shirts he wore on the tour (some were yellow w/black, some were white w/black) There are red, blue, green and yellow lettering on the right that vertically spells Paul McCartney. The tour cities and countries are on the back. For some stupid reason I didn't buy a t-shirt in 1993, but I have ones from 2002, 2013 and 2014. I could kick myself for not buying a Wings t-shirt in 1976!
I remember that t-shirt now. I'm sure it was out of my price range then...was in college and I was eating popcorn to fill my stomach and finding leftover food in the student center I still have the ticket somewhere. I'm still upset my brother didn't let me know about the 1993 concert... By then I was working and could have bought the t-shirt!! Good thing about eBay .

I believe we have had a hair thread. But it's best just to keep it all in one place. edit to add...in fact, in thinking about it, we had some heated discussions about his hair! The bad color, the length of his "bangs" & how they stick to his forehead during a performance...all very superficial. haha
We had a thread for his beard, I'm sure someone somewhere sometime would want to start a discussion about his hair as well At the time he made Flowers in the Dirt, his hair looked especially nice... just perfect as far as cut, style and color for him Thanks Nancy for posting the Flowers in the Dirt photo Was wondering what was in the globe or little crystal ball that he's holding, in addition to the dove? It looks like an image of him, looking at the bird. This photo is one I posted last week, but probably got bumped down by other posts, which I understand happens so people may have not seen it.. Love the sunglasses on him here. I think this looks like the same shirt he wore in the part of the "This One" video where he had the painted eyes on his eyelids.

Just wanted to let you know that if you're talking about the globe in the photo with the beautiful red Indian jacket. The red would be love of course... In the globe, is the swan, with the God Krishna riding on its back. Krishna has the blue color because of his blue energy or aura representing all inclusiveness like the ocean and the sky. I think Paul must have blue energy as well, don't you think so?

Thanks so much, love2travel! I think that's really interesting! I think he does have blue energy... if you look at the "Krishna blue" energy in this link http://isha.sadhguru.org/blog/yoga-meditation/history-of-yoga/why-is-krishna-blue/ it looks just like the color of Paul's costume on the Sgt Pepper cover... wonder if the Beatles all chose the colors they did (for Sgt Pepper) because they felt drawn to them for some reason.... knowing about the Krishna blue and its associated colors. I think if we're talking about energy auras, blue does suit him. He seems to be a very spiritual person. I can also see him enjoying the color red as well... he has worn red costumes (thinking "Penny Lane," and "This One")... that makes sense because he seems to be a person that has a lot of love in his heart for what he does, and for his family and the people closest to him, and he seems to really appreciate the love he receives from the fans as well. And he and Ringo are always wanting to fill the world with peace and love, lol! Thanks for explaining that was a swan, not a dove, with Krishna riding on it's back. I'll have to read more about this. Edited to add: Just saw the entire Indian version of the "This One" video, on a Russian website... hadn't been able to see the entire video before or else I would have seen the swan, etc... and known what was in the little globe : The lyrics "Our swan is gliding... across the ocean" should have been a clue : (And I call myself a fan! ops: ) Oh well... guess I wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer today, due to lack of

Oh the bad color & style conversations were much more in the recent news. There were magazine articles from the shop that dyed his hair & they weren't owning up to doing the poor coloring. Glad his color is much better now.

Yes, he does look great too bad his previous stylists had to do magazine articles... you'd think they'd want to keep whatever work they do for him confidential... in order to keep his business, or at least to show some kind of respect for his privacy... I remember reading somewhere that Jennifer Lopez stopped using a stylist because he was selling info she told him about herself to the National Enquirer... or one of those grocery store tabloids.... Anyway, on the issue of color and style now, etc., seems like Paul has a very good stylist. He always looks great, and they do a good job.

Look at those bell bottoms! (well, you have to click on the link to see what I am referring to : ) I wonder if this board could hook up with one of those tinypic places so you could just be in on the discussion w/o having to click on links. Just thinking outloud.

You're absolutely right about image sizes around here, and bell bottoms, but on most of the pictures I post, you can resize the images manually by changing the "/sxxx" to a lower number, as I did above.

ok trying that...but people will never do that or remember that! What are you using? Do you need to have the pic on your hard drive? Some places let you use them on the fly.

It has nothing to do with whatever's on your hard drive. Any images we post here have to be online already, so you're just changing the image size.

I went back in the 1st couple pages & these don't have that sxxx business.

It doesn't work with every url. In fact, it doesn't work with most urls, unless the size is specifically listed. But it works on most of mine.

I'll have to remember to keep an eye open for this.

So you're saying, that if there's an sxxx in the link, you can change the number? Can you add it to a link?
