you know looking at that last picture of the 1960's Paul and the today Paul makes me wonder what kind of advice would the 71 year old Paul have for the 20 something Paul.

Yes, I've been saying this for years - it IS a basic principle that as we age, *everything* should be swept up and back in order to de-emphasize the sagging that occurs. This goes for hair, and in the case of women, make-up application. One day, Paul will have that epiphany, Michelley!
Michelley:
I had an epiphany about Paul's hair at his show in Washington last night. Yes, that is how exciting my life is: I have epiphanies about Paul's hair. Anyway, at one point, after his hair was all sweaty at the end of the show, he pulled all of his bangs/fringe completely back off his forehead. And he looked 10 years younger. He needs to go SHORT, especially on the forehead, because those very long bangs/fringe he has now drag down his face, mirroring the sagging jowls we all get at his age. But short and off his forehead would balance that out. Employing that sort of contrast is actually a basic design principle. I swear in that moment when his hair was all off his forehead, I thought: Wow! Perhaps he should hire me as his stylist.
I'm sorry girls, I know you are probably both hair stylists and so you feel you know best. I remember I kept telling my stylist how I wanted my hair.. I wanted it longer. She would never listen to what I wanted, so I just stopped going until my hair got as long as I wanted, maybe 4-5 months. I had it MY WAY!! Finally I was happy!! Paul seems to be old enough to decide what he wants... just sayin' I like his hair longer too!! It looks cuter to me.

I am in agreement with L2T. Not only do I think Paul looks so darn handsome with longer hair, I also like this new color his has going on. I have not had my hair professionally cut in a year now! Why? Same reason as L2T. I have a friend trim it. One day if I ever meet a hair person who has respect for my wishes with my hair I will let them touch it. I have not met that hair stylist yet. Grow it Paul!

A rather unintentional shot I took at Fenway. Thought a few of you would appreciate it...

this is what happens when the hair is too long. And yes, I know it's a rock concert & he's sweating but if it was a tad shorter there wouldn't be such a problem...oh & I am not a hairdresser.

The prosecution rests. And no, I'm not a hair stylist either. But you don't have to be to see that his hair is doing him NO favors these days and just makes him look older than he is. There is nothing flattering about those long unkempt pieces of stray hair that look like a combover half the time and are dragging down his face. And the other problem is that dyed hair on men looks better when it's short. The longer the hair, the more obvious the dye job is. What would look good on Paul?? This:

I do love this picture on Paul's Web page announcing the Japan tour dates. It's hilarous and flattering. Notice how much better his hair looks in black and white -- like it would if he just finally dumped the dye. He looks like a cute little Godzilla here, headed to Tokyo. It's an awesome shot. P.S. There's also an amusing comment on Paul's facebook page announcing the Japan dates. Someone wrote: "Just leave the weed at home this time."
