Well done! Hope you got a good seat!

Okay, so my friend, a casual Beatles fan, is planning on going to this concert too, but she's just waiting for the general sale. How large is the chance that she will get better seats than me, with her dad and brother? Because, you know, she's my friend and I love her and all, but if she gets a better seat than me I will not be happy.
-
SayJay, I don't know what the chances are of her getting better seats, but I seen where yours are and they're pretty good, facing the stage head on, and just a couple of rows behind me! If your friend does get better seatsm you could always switch? If she's willing haha, seeing as she's a casual fan. I'm going to look at general sale on Monday anyway and see what kind of seats are available, but I've already got my tickets. So excited! Lovely picture of Paul for your avatar btw, his eyes are gorgeous.
-
Remember, only certain blocks were in the presale, so your friend may or may not get a seat just as good as yours in the general sale when other blocks are released. It's a situation we all find ourselves in do I take these tickets, or do I pass in case better ones appear later. IMHO if you've got seats on the pitch, you've done well and you'll have a great view. Enjoy the show!!

Yeah, I thought so too, until the jealous fan girl took over me for a second She isn't really the type of person who would be willing to switch, if you know what I mean, but hey ho. You know what? As long as I'm there, it's all good. Thank you, I think so too I like yours too, btw, I've always thought he looks really cool with those glasses.

That was indeed my dilemma. And yeah, that is true, I suppose. Thanks. This is my first concert of this size, and being from Aberdeen, I'm not familiar with Hampden Park. I wasn't sure of the view I was going to get etc. But thank you, I feel reassured now.

Was at the football tonight....and they were showing an advert for Paul playing there on the big screen before the match and it half time I still dont get why its sitting there because more often than not its a standing venue so its a bit annoying

I looked up the Eagles at hampden on you tube. It was seated and looked dead big space between seats, stage and seats and main stand. Pitch should have been GA

its because its a concert by a 'pensioner' attended by lots of 'pensioners'! thank god its in june,if it was the middle of winter the gig would never get the goahead due to the ice causing a'broken hips' frenzy!. i do believe however that paul gets a younger crowd to his 'liverpool' gigs and the 2 huge outdoor gigs ive been to there have been nearly all standing with hardly anyone over 50 in the crowd.
-
well in my eyes if Paul can be on stage for 2 hours and a half then everyone else can stand up and enjoy...if not there is a seating area they can go in
-
totally agree 'dc'. sitting down at a 'rock concert' is a crime. its another 'americanism' that has creeped in to our culture and totally flattens the whole vibe.! however im going anyway

To peterbell1, sorry I don't know how to do the quote thingy (I'll learn!) , that's cool! I'll give you a wave back, just a few rows in front then. What are your seat numbers? I've got 9, 10 and 11.
Seats 15-17.
I'm in seat 19 Row L

I'm in the stands with my friend and my girlfriend, and i kno we'll all want to stand up an dance a bit and have a good time, i'm just worried other people will want us to sit down and stuff! is there a high chance of that happening? lol I'm thinking cos we paid £85 for tickets, which isn't your standard cheap seat, that other people in the stands will be bigger macca fans who'll want to dance a bit and have a good time too... or am i just deluding myself? haha josh
-
got my tickets for hampden
-
erm its a tricky one...it always depends on what people are standing (sitting) near you and also occasionally security may well tell you to sit down, especially in the stands. To be honest I think you are just gonna have to wait and see on the night

unfortunately i would suggest that because you are in the higher priced 'stand' seats your neighbours are likely to be the 'thearter' bunch. i hope not and i hope you have a good dance. its a problem that i can remember well from my first macca gigs in 1989 at wembly arena. only at liverpool in 1990 and 2003 has the 'stand and dance' atmosphere been totally universall at the macca gigs ive attended. shame because they are the best types of gigs!

I really hope we can stand and dance, I'll be really disappointed otherwise! I went to see Paul at the 02 in London but I had rubbish seats, almost touching the roof! The concert was great, but I felt so restrained in the seat since everyone else was sitting down in my row and only clapping occasionally. Eventually everyone stood up and moved around a bit when 'Hey Jude' came on and stayed up for the encores. I loved Paul's playing but the sitting down through it was driving me mad! I hope, hope, hope Hampden is different. I seen U2 there last summer, but I wasn't on the pitch. They had standing, general admission for the pitch anyway so it was a bit different. I'll definitely try and stand during it, really hope the people around me are big fans who want to dance as well!
-
Just start standing....if people join you then thats up to them.People are more likely to stand if they see you standing. I think Glasgow is probably more likely to stand up than most places though. When I saw him in New York I had someone yelling at me for standing up, so just make sure that doesnt happen to ya
