stay out the irish bars then..you will find a pub that is 'union' friendly closer to the west end of glasgow. if i was you i would stay in the comfort and safety of my hotel if you want to support england in glasgow .
Is it really that bad?

I would think the England match will be shown in a fair few bars in Glasgow, as I'm sure the locals will be keen to support the opposing team when England are playing! I would suggest watching the match but NOT cheering for England - or get a train down across the border to England for the evening

Only A Northern Song:
I paid a lot of money (probably like most people did!) for good seats and I bought a pair of tickets in Block AA7 which I nearly needed a second mortgage for but McCartney's worth every penny.
You weren't able to get your tix through presales from the website then? I saw on eBay that a lot of tickets are being sold for over GBP 100 a piece. That's at least GBP 20 more than what I paid for my ticket.
Tickets for the Hampden gig seem to be selling on eBay for prices equal to, or just over, face value. There doesn't seem to be much interest in the blocks on the pitch which are right off to one side of the stage. I think the face value of those tickets should have been much lower - maybe £40 - to encourage more sales.

does anyone have an idea when we should be receiving tickets ?

It will be less dangerous for me than for the French who will see France - Uruguay in Dublin the day before McCartney's gig

just join in the fun and support englands opposition. i have already ordered a 'slovenia','algeria' and 'usa' flags for the group matches ... cant wait

Some people go very much overboard on the whole England/Scotland rivalry.. There's no arguing with them :

I'm gonna check out the sportsbar anyway. And be quiet If they air the Dutch game, can I at least scream when the Dutchies score? Or is there a Scotland-Holland rivalry as well?
-
Hm, scream quietly and you may be okay.

I can do that. Have to save my scream for the Sun anyway

Ok, I'm from Brazil and I JUST decided I'm going to Europe for vacations in June, and that means going to Glasgow to see Paul's concert..!!!! FINALLY! So.. if anyone would help me I'd appreciate it a LOT. I have NO IDEA which seat is the best or worse.. tiered or pitch (by pitch I mean the ones that are still on sale of course, like AA9 or BB6). Does anyone know the stadium well enough to say which seat is better? I will buy the tickets later today so I don't have much time to think about it really... I'm just hoping someone will say something to help me decide. Oh! And another option would be to see the concert in Cardiff, but I think I prefer Glasgow.. I don't know. Thanks a LOT!!!!

Kind of surprising that there are so many good seats on open sale with barely a month and a half left
Of course I had to see for myself You can't get 10 tickets for most seatings anymore though. They mention it but when you click '10', almost every time it says there are no 10 seats available anymore. Hope that makes you feel better I'm not surprised there are seats left in sections like AA9 (sorry for the people who have their seats there); I rather have a center tiered seat with good view on the stage than a seat on the far right or left. But that might be just me. Esp for the fireworks effects during LALD I'd like to have a good view on the stage. I'm soooooo ready for my tickets to arrive. Just 5 more weeks. Or whenever they get here.
I've now spoke to two people over the last week or so who can't get tickets AT ALL for Macca at Hampden Is this gig sold out or not ?
-
Its not sold out...you can still get tickets in the stands
