Not music related: what time do stores open in the city centre on Sat and Mon morning? And is there a good music store in Glasgow that sells vinyl albums? (either new or second hand)

Most of the shops open at 9am, some are 8.3o. I cant think of any music shops that sell vinyl, tho some of the big ones sell the modern stuff that's out on vinyl now. You might want to take the subway to hillhead, which is a ten min ride. There are loads of charity shops on byres road, and most of them have lots of old vinyl. Oxfam have a dedicated charity shop of all music with loads of vinyl. I used to collect vinyl and i used to go to the west end all the time. Had a great time looking through them all. I think there may be a vinyl shop in the city centre, dont know if it's still there, will try to find out.

Is Avalance still next to Queen Street station? That one can be alright...I think there are a few music/vinyl shops near Central Station as well...actually I've not been over to Glasgow for shopping in ages, hmm Aye and Oxfam is always a good shout

I've passed by, but never shopped there. There is Fopp near Central station, which does modern vinyl. Also great for cheap cd's and dvd's. I got Frost/Nixon the other day for £3.

2 weeks today, so exciting! Who would be up for arranging a meet up on the sat before the revolver gig? There is a pub/restaurant in maggie mays above the club where revolver are playing. The food is good if anyone wanted to eat, and the music is always good. If people fancied it, I could check if we could book out an area so we could all sit together. Let me know asap so we can get a rough idea of numbers, then i could contact maggie mays to see if i can book. Also let me know what time suits. Doors for revolver opens at 8 i think.

Count me (Jolanda) in!! I don't care for a certain time, I have no plans. I might actually already be at MM's watching the soccer game. Although if the weather is nice I might walk back in town after the game, before dinner.

I'm staying at Marks on Bath Street, parallel to Renfrew. Looks like it's just a 5/10 min walk away.
