my 40 year dream comes true tomorrow when i see paul for the first time, my dad was a huge beatles fan and its thanks to him i fell in love with them all those years ago, so tomorrow on fathers day i am living it for both of us dad, look down on hampden and enjoy the show, god bless.
Yeah, tomorrow is father's day. Still a weird day for me (my Dad passed away Aug 2007). A couple of years ago I told myself that I was going to see Macca the next time he played Holland and that I was gonna take my Dad with me. Unfortunately my Dad passed away before Macca returned so I went to his gig by myself last Dec. Oh boy, my Dad would have LOVED it. Don't believe in heaven and that stuff but I know my Dad saw it. And he's there tomorrow, with me in Glasgow. Just like your Dad.

If anyone's still looking for good tickets, TicketSoup has just released more tickets in the very front pitch blocks. I bet these have been reserved for hot sound packages or similar that haven't sold, so have just been put on general sale. Anyway, just now I can see 10+ tickets in the 10th row (J) of the very front middle block AA7, and a pair of tickets in the 3rd row (C) of AA8. Probably not be there for long though!! Chris

Hello all you Macca/Beatles fans out there My interest in Beatles/McCartney was refreshed recently after seeing the show "Love" in Vegas (Absoloutely awsome!) so it was a great surprise to see the new Macca show was coming to Weegieville The delight was hightened when the Manics were announced as the support in Cardiff Who could we anticipate at Hampden? Nutini? Franz Ferdinand? Lulu? Rod Stewart even? God what a total downer when Sharleen Spiteri was announced What a downer when "Mull of Kintyre" is scheduled for the playlist Ah well, will just have to shut my ears to such dross and enjoy the rest of the show Should be a belter! Enjoy it everyone

For you it is, for several of us it's gonna be the highlight of the evening For me, it's the reason I came over to Scotland. Have a great night!!!

Milcon Im glad you and your friends enjoy MOK and hope your visit to Scotia is a great one but as a resident sweaty I cant stand sentimental tartan shortbread tin type twaddle like this But Im only one and given the sales of the song who am I to argue? Be thankful for small merices (Pipes of peace/say say say/frog chorus) Looks if the weather is going to be kind and that always helps No doubt hampden will charge reasonable prices for pints of chemical refreshment ha ha!

I'll get back to you on that after I went to the pub tonight I never had Scottish beer (assuming this is Scottish).
-
Milcon Are you of Netherlands persuasion? Stick to the Guinness if I was you , tennents lager is scotlands favourite lager but is just 570 ml of chemicals in my humble opinion Hampden will sell gallons of the stuff tomorrow It was 4 quid a pint when I saw ACDC last year

im so not suprised about these ticket problems. i mentioned this at the start of this thread and i have been proved right. this is a guy who can hardly sell an album in the uk. doing these back to back huge uk shows was incredibly optimistic. in liverpool ,ok he could do it . in the rest of the country as a one off ,maybe but to do 3 or 4 huge arena shows was a big mistake.this could get pretty embarassing for him and im sure hes now screaming at his promoter who must have twisted his arm in the first place. wrightly or wrongly paul mccartney is not held in high regard with his potential suiters in great britain.its been like that for 25 years or so. i hope the stadium is at least two thirds full as i am going .im gonna enjoy it anyway!
-
Well if im really really really honest Im going coz it will probably be the only time I will see a Beatle performing in Scotland or anywhere else for that matter (Stay away Ringo Starr) You cant argue with most of the playlist Just look at the encore set! As for the prices being overpriced, what are people looking for? Freebies? To compare : Footie prices are expensive for just 90 minutes and folk think nuthing of spending 100 quid on a night out (some wake up and cant remember a thing) Personally Id pay sharlen spiteri to shutup! If she sings Zanadu there will be a riot but not in a good way

Luckily I have a VIP package which means free drinks for me

Milcon Im your new best scottish friend haha Where is that velvet rope? Try Bellhaven best , Sweetheart stout or McEwans Export tonight or get ratar*ed on scotch whisky
-
its a real shame that the scottish public who have not been overburden by mccartney tours down the years have in general not given a flying fuck about this gig. very sad indeed considering some of the rubbish that have no problems filling stadiums north of the border!
-
Lets see how many turn up before we pronounce judgement on me and my fellow sweatys what is a flying **** anyway?
-
have you seen the mince that is at Hampden next Saturday? she could have supported Macca!

Hehe. I said free drinks but trust me, looking at the price of the VIP ticket they are very EXPENSIVE drinks. Oh well. Just for once.

I'll try to remember that. And a big NO on the whisky (what's the correct spelling btw, whisky or whiskey?). I do want to buy some whisk(e)y for my bro though, what's a good Scottish whisk(e)y?
