Surely, he's not the only one who heard it. You all need to find others who have heard it as well. How about the Mods here, maybe they were allowed to hear it. Anyway, get busy People - find others.
FINALLY! I've heard he is including the unreleased Wings song, "Love Take Me Down (To The Streets)" on the album. Not sure why, but I will take it. Perhaps he re-recorded it with Brian, Rusty, Abe, Wix and Randy Newman?
With respect, after waiting 5 years or more for a killer album, I'd be very disappointed if this pedestrian song made the final cut - re-recorded or not! It doesn;t even sound like Paul.
The song is complete rubbish.
Yep, no getting around it.
But it's not Paul/Wings.
-
Well it's kind of sure it will be "his best album in years"... he released MAF in 2007 and there's no way Paul can do a rock and roll album that's worse than KOTB or Ocean's Kingdom... Even if he improvised it. lol. I don't know if I'm praising or critizing Paul but I think I'm right. Well, he already did a kind of improvised album (written and recorded, almost improvised, in 2 weeks), Electric Arguements... anyway as MAF is my fav Paul album I'm gonna be dissapointed cause I think no way Paul could top that now(except for the new album will have a greater sound, I guess, no "loudness war...") I really don't think Paul has been in "top inspiration" these recent years, but being Paul he could unleash some unreleased classics he wrote kind of 30 years ago... who knows...

It sure isn't. The song is written by Charles Gansa & A.D.Miles for the film Role Models and is sung by Joey Curatolo from the Beatles tribute band, RAIN. As part of the films plot, the song was deliberately written and recorded to sound like Wings, and it seems they've done a pretty good job.

FINALLY! It's a fun take on it, and Joey nails the Paul yell in the middle (around 2:12). Role Models is a very funny film. Here is the scene where the Wings reference is made, and the "no one sings that song" retort.
Pay close attention to the logo for Sturdy Wings, the Big Brothers of America-type of organization in the film. Looks like Wingspan, no? -
I think McCartney has been in top inspiration in recent years, the man has done some of the things he's always wanted to do like KOTB. That album was very inspirational for McCartney, being some of the music he grew up on, it all inspired him. MAF was definitely inspired, if only by the fact that McCartney wanted to make a more traditional rock type album after Chaos. Now after KOTB, I think McCartney wants to do the same thing again, he wants to release a more rock type album. He even said that just because he did an album like KOTB, he doesn't want anyone to think that he has become some standards crooner! In fact I think when it comes to music, Paul McCartney stays inspired!!

well, my guess about him not being very inspired lately is just because he has married... I'm used to see how the best composers I know lose interest in music when they marry... Noel Gallagher even said he's not as interested in making songs as he was before being a father and marrying... The best period of Paul was just "between Jane Asher and Linda"... just like John between Cynthia and Yoko. Elton John hasn't released a classic since he married...

Well, I think it's quite a presumption to say he won't be inspired because he got married. That's a very personal thing that no one can know about. Paul's musical fertile mind has a lot of aspects to it, apart from being "inspired". His imagination for music is more than that or else he wouldn't have been able to be as prolific as he has been all these years. It's one thing to be inspired to write a song, but it's another thing when you're a natural born writer. His gift for music is far reaching, something that we'll never be able to comprehend.

There wasn't really a period of time between Jane & Linda--they overlapped! But he did record & release Hey Jude during the summer of '68 before Linda came to London in Sept.
-
Yeah because after Paul married Linda in '69, he hasn't done anything very good. I mean, Abbey Road, Wings, solo...it's all been a bit shit, hasn't it? :

I'm sure the official press released story is that (ummmm, cough cough, clear throat) there was a gap between the two...LOL

Is there any room for Maggie in that 'official press released story' who was ever so slightly overlapping the afore mentioned two?
-
Actually, Jane and Linda didn't overlap. He had his brief fling with Francie Schwartz (which started right before he and Jane ended) and then they broke it off and he reestablished contact with Linda. This all took place in a matter of months (June '68-September '6. But, we all knew he was a workaholic, right?

and that's when he wrote Let It Be, The Long And Winding Road, that's his peak...
-
Six years between studio albums (if the new one comes out this year!) will be easily the longest gap. Previously four between Driving Rain and Chaos.
-
Albums no longer make much money, the money now comes from tours. That's why so few albums, and so many tours.

Yes they did my dear! Paul & Linda's "naughty weekend" was in late June 1968 at the Beverly Hills Hotel (Paul & Jane had just been to Liverpool for his brother Mike's 1st wedding on the 7th) Jane didn't leave Paul until July. Then Francie came on the scene. She says in her book that Jane was already gone when she arrived. Then either Paul kicked her out or she left on her own accord around late Aug. Paul calls Linda and she arrives in mid-Sept.

Yeah, poor Maggie who was around "off and on" from '66 to '68. Supposedly they last saw each other briefly 2 days before he married Linda but Maggie says he literally walked in, sat down, said "I have to go, I can't do this" and left immediately. They had last been together (again, according to her) in early Sept. '68 and went for a short vacation to "somewhere warm."

6 years between studio albums? I could have sworn KOTB was more recent than that! It may not be your cup of tea, but it is a studio album.

I don't consider KOTB nor Electric Arguments "proper" studio albums in the tradition of writing and recording "proper" material. Like I said, albums don't make money, nowadays, touring does. Putting in the effort to write and record the traditional way just doesn't pay off, or else we would have had several albums in the last six years, just like it used to be.

Well, I wasn't counting that, was going more with "relationship/steady" but if you want to get technical then yes, you're right.
