Hello All!
Is there going to be a special PM.com presale? Or is the presale only through American Express?
Good luck to everybody,
Michael
What a fantastic gift for the NYC fans! I relocated to Chicago eight years ago, but man, I would have been there too, goosebumps and all. I am so glad you all had a wonderful night. Reminds me of the Lyceum Theater gig in August of 1989, but that necessitated waiting in line all day. This sounds like a much more humane way to have done it. His voice sounded wonderful on the YouTube video of Matchbox and I am sure that My Valentine must have been special. Well done!

sorry for your loss. try contacting MPL directly. I'm not sure how. I've never thought of doing it another idea is to try to get a reporter interested in your story that might filter through to Paul or his team. good luck. The sign idea is good, but if he's not on the floors Paul might not see it anyway enjoy the show. The best way to enjoy a McCartney show is with your family.
oh and let us know what you thought of the show!!
Dear Single Dad, I am so sorry for your and your son's loss. My wife was gravely ill with breast cancer a few years ago when my daughter was only a year old. I looked to Paul and his music at this time because of the way he met the challenge of Linda's illness with such bravery and dignity, and it is clear he always puts his family first?one of the reasons why I have the utmost respect for the man beyond his incredible art. At the time, I tried to contact him through MPL and his publicist, just to reach out and to say thanks for providing a model for how to handle such fearful moments and to guide a family through the worst possible consequences. It's an amazing gift to see such perseverance and positivity in those moments, and I wanted him to know it doesn't go unnoticed. I never got a reply, but that wasn't why I wrote it. I know if you make your request, you will feel a certain satisfaction just reaching out. I hope your son does get to meet him. I will be wishing for it with all my heart, as I think many people here will. But you should also know that Paul's shows are really quite transformative because of the history involved, the raw emotion shared by both performer and audience. Also, your son will be sharing this with you, his father, who I am sure is even more a hero to him than Paul is, because of your love and what you have both endured. I am sending you a PM with other information that I hope is useful. Sending strength and warmth to you both.

Post it & then they can remove it if need be.
Audi posted a couple of pics already.
Ok. Here's the link: http://www.yellow-sub.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8469[/url]
Yeah...a couple of those are different. I thought early days was Early Beatles. Not early in the history of music!
That was possibly a conscious decision to avoid fusing a Beatle undertone to the video. The single "New" is the most blatantly Beatley thing Paul has ever done in his solo career, and it did not excite radio at all. But it's best to reserve judgment sicne we haven't seen the actual thing yet, and these stills may be just the "performance" shots. There may be other story-line shots that might feature The Fab Four-era of Paul's life.
I expect you may be right about the video.
And once again, Johnny Depp shows up in a Macca video. 20 Forthlin Road meets 21 Jump Street.

I am very surprised that there is not a better system for his fan base to get a better crack at tickets.
Ah yes, The good ol days of Paul"s "Club Sandwich ", we'd get a letter asking if we wanted to buy a ticket before they went on sale. I think we all got seats in the same area too.I remember asking fans around us how they got their tickets & everyone was saying ,thru Paul's club. At that time, those were the best seats I ever had for Paul.... Nice seats, all because we were in his club.... CHICAGO, HERE I COME !
I remember getting seats at MSG through the Fun Club in 1989 that were good, not great, for the first and last nights. It was probably because we were three seats together. In 1993, it was a different story, and my brother an I sat in the 12th row center at Giants Stadium. I have to say, I was very impressed in 2011 when I was able to pull up two 4th row seats through website's pre-sale in the $250 price range. This time around, during the United Center pre-sale, it just didn't seem possible. Perhaps those seats are now designated under the VIP packages.
I also got shut out of tickets (at least so far) on Crowdsurge. But it's a long way until the concert, and there will be multiple opportunities to get seats. Yes, some get thrown back in but good ones will become available again, so don't despair.
Awful experience on Crowdsurge. Can't find a thing and was on at 10 AM.

Assuming ( and I know what they say about assumptions ) that a 2nd show is added to Chicago, will the presale probably start almost unannounced? I know promoters like to keep the 2nd show under wraps to ensure demand for the first, and once they have seen a majority of the good seats go, the second just pops up. In this case, do we just need to hang around the crowd surge page to see if it appears or will Paul give us a little ad mace warning. In sure there has been a president for this.
I highly doubt that the 2nd show will be added during the presale, most likely it won't be "official" until at least the day of the regular/general on-sale, whenever that is (am too lazy to check.
ops: ). If they add it on that day, there won't be any presale. It will just go on sale--boom. If they wait a week or so to do a big announcement ("first show sold out!! second show added!"
) as they did with Wrigley Field in 2011, there will be a separate presale for Show 2.
Yes, as I recall that is how it happened in 2011.
Fantastic. I am not teaching at Northwestern University this quarter (just advising grads) and so I have some time to jump online and try and secure tickets during the presale! Good luck all!
