Magazine covers of Paul

That is Tony Bramwell on the left in the 3rd pic down where Paul is getting out of the car. He was the one who opened the door to the bungakow when Linda arrived. He writes all about that weekend in his book Magical Mystery Tours: My Life With The Beatles.
Pretty sure the dates he was there was June 20-24, 1968.
Linda took several pics of Paul in that cranberry-colored velour jacket. One is on the cover of her last photography book that Paul released several years ago. Here:

Thanks for the info, Nancy!
Have always loved the photos Linda took, of Paul in his cranberry colored jacket. Looks like the same jacket he wore when the Hey Jude video was filmed for the David Frost Show. (We all discussed that a while back I think.)
Awww, the "naughty weekend." Iron Butterfly's "Inagadda da vida" was released the same Friday Paul and Linda were in LA... I'm sure they probably listened to it on the radio from Paul's bungalow, while they were eating grapes!

Yes, same jacket worn during Hey Jude video:

Not sure I agree with the headline "Exclusive - Paul & Linda - Until I married him, people liked me." I think she was loved by Paul's fans far more than she realized They probably could have chosen another quote to use for their headline teaser.

^ He looks so cute in that pic, and those Converse sneakers! Hard to believe that was 11 years ago!!
And I agree, certainly by 1984 she was loved by a lot of Paul’s fans!

^ One shilling and sixpence! (a shilling was 1/20 of a pound or 12 pence)

So the magazine only cost 18 pence each (12 pence shilling + 6) ? No wonder they had so many subscribers!
blimey, where's me three tuppence plus six
The photos on the covers probably helped sales too

Yeah! Is Paul wearing John’s glasses in the one, do you think?
If you see the cost of the concerts they performed in the early ‘60s (or gigs with other acts on the bill) the price would say something like 10/6, which would be 10 shillings and 6 pence. Still cheap by today’s standards!
Trying to remember if they still issue a tuppence (2 pence/pennies) coin.

Thought I read yesterday that they no longer issue the tuppence in Britain but when I went back to look on Wikipedia, they didn't indicate it had been discontinued, so.. will have to check further on that.
This is the original photo that was on magazine cover in previous post.
That could be John's glasses. Don't think they're the same frames that Paul wore in a few other photos. Wonder if he needed to wear glasses, or just wanted to look cool like his idol Buddy Holly?
-
I think Paul was just fooling around, putting on John’s glasses. He has done that in 2 other photos I have of them together when they were 18/19. He never needed glasses, to my knowledge. The ones he’s wearing with the guitar look almost like sunglasses.

Thanks, Nancy! I've seen a few photos of Paul wearing glasses after he married Linda (other than at Buddy Holly events) but they could just be sunglasses with a very light tint to them.

“A soundtrack album to tonight’s show is scheduled to be released on Club Sandwich Records in 15 years.” ?????
Did that ever happen in 1988?
Side note: Hot pic of Paul there!
