Silly questions for Paul
-
I guess I failed to ask a question ... it's a little early you'll have to sort of let it slide or something.

I had an interesting experience the other night when I was feeling sick from the after effects of Lily the Pink's medicinal compound...although if one is in need of the substance I highly recommend it! Anyway, I was laying back watching the weather channel program about the Seattle faultline, and I was nibbling on a saltine cracker and feeling a bit sorry for myself. When all of a sudden, I looked down at my cracker for no apparent reason, and realised I had unintentionally created a cracker work of art! It was shaped like, well like a most fantastic 'symbolistic' shape of something I consider to be ancient and sacred. Instantly I felt better! It was like the Universe was saying 'hello!' and in that little bit of time, I had my thoughts transformed from thinking about myself, to thinking great thoughts of the Universe! All because of the Mystical Cracker! I have saved it too, for good vibes! Paul have you ever done anything silly like that? Or anyone else here?
-
I don't know ... at the moment I think I'm in awe of your statement about the Mystical Cracker art. That's totally great stuff, good for you and I've lived on a variety of faultlines for most of my life. If you haven't been there then I suppose it's a little odd to relate to, hey even if you have been there sometimes it's a little odd to relate to. Anyway keep up the questions 'moonchild' ... you're good at this stuff.

Well, I deleted few of my posts because I made mistakes choosing the forum. I'm slowly learning to use this site.

Yeah ... occasionally I do that too (obviously ).

The summary of my horoscope today is as follows: When was the last time you flirted? Make someone's day with a charming smile! Now I feel that the stars are conspiring against me at this point, 'cause for the past two weeks this has been the trend within the horoscope ... whaddaya think?? (ah ... maybe I'm just paranoid or something ... grumble, grumble).
-
I am a 'deleter' myself! Are you smiling behind the screen for us all Opus? I used to read my horoscope and still look at it on occasion, but really find it to be most uninformative. You know the day to day things you read? But I think my personality goes very well with my star sign. So overall, I guess the astrological thing has its merits. I like numerology better. But I am only an amateur at it now. I wonder if Paul believes in all that stuff?
-
Oh yes, I'm smiling ... well, generally smiling. Thanks for the feedback on that post, 'cause it was a legitimate question ... although I'm more or less interested in hearing feedback on the veracity of "flirting." You know I'd almost be inclined to place a poll somewhere to determine or assess people's sentiments on that sort of communication. I mean there's a time and a place for much of that, but sometimes it's just superficial fodder isn't it (i.e. self-serving). Ah ... I'm fickle myself, so later today I might not even care too much about it though (or next month for that matter).
-
Well ... I didn't mean to cause anyone any extra dilemma's out here or anything, I mean it wasn't necessarily directed at anything ... just interpersonal related curiosity really. ... yikes. I'm going to start wondering if people don't know how to juggle their introspection and their absurdity if this one doesn't pick back up soon. I myself can turn on a dime if the situation will benefit from it. ... but perhaps I'm the exception to the rule or something.

LOL! Opus U R too funny! ( I meant that in a positive way.) Actually I have an interesting view on the flirtation subject. I never thought about it really until now. But, I must hold off for a bit on a decent explaination, as I have had a most mysterious event happen just recently. One which has made me reach out to my Mystical Cracker for comfort and guidance. I will be back and just fine.

Sitting here with my Mystical Cracker. Feeling much more at ease. hmmm? flirtation? I see the subject as falling in two categories: Random flirting: which is obviously just to be a flirt in general. To flatter oneself by commanding attention by means of flirting, thereby reassuring oneself of ones desirability... or just to get a kick out of it. That would be self-serving, IMO. Focused flirting: where one is genuinely attracted to someone. You like someone quite a bit, and therefore cannot help but to flirt with this desirable person. A more intimate flirt, a meaningful flirt. For example: when you see two people who are in love, and the interactions between them, that is the flirt I am talking about here. I don't see this type as self-serving. I hope this answers any questions. Although this is only one persons interpretation of flirting. And I have absolutley no idea where these 'definitions' came from! LOL! I used to be a random flirter, when I was immature and had no idea about Life in general. Now that I am much more mature, I am a focused flirter. p.s.: I am not judging flirters in any category btw, to each his/her own.

Great assessment 'moon' ... couldn't have stated better, and I liked the fact that the Mystical Cracker was helpful to the whole process. I'm contemplating retiring this account at the moment ... I don't think that I do too well with the "Tug of War" level. I get all conflicted by that. I don't think I get directly conflicted ... must be more peripheral or subconscious. I dunno ... but if I do, and decide to come back the up side is that I'll get to go back to the "Learn to Fly" part and that's quite cool. Silly of me isn't it? I mean getting conflicted by a label such as that ... oh well, I'm a sensitive sort of being so there you go. Anyhow thanks a bunch for responding to that query of mine, I'm glad you did.

Paul do you read silly questions for Paul?
-
No, not silly Opus. I am glad to have met you! Take care of yourself! Oh, and thankyou very much for the lunar phases photo! I really love it. I couldn't figure out how to put in in my avatar. But I will keep it anyway. bye, again!

Say Paul have you ever been mooned at a concert? love doris.

'moon' you could save it to your local machine by right-clicking it and then selecting [Save image as...] save it the local machine on your desktop or something and then upload it from there through your profile directly (I think I made sure it was an appropriate size for an avatar). How many more posts until I'm out of the "Tug of War" anyway? Like stated, just conflicted by that ... I realize that they're using song titles ... but it'd be nice if it were a line from another area of the song in this particular instance.
-
Just hang on for a while, Opus. As you can see here at 500 you will be watching the show. Wouldn't it be cool, Paul, if Opus were watching the show?
-
Thanks for that show of encouragement 'little miss nobody' ... I've probably been in this "tug of war" thing for the past 60 some odd posts and didn't realize it until earlier this week. I might be a little late on the concern at this point, hope no one gets hurt by anything I'm doing or have done at this point (carefully walking on the egg shell ... trying to get 'back to the egg').

Paul have ever danced in the rain love doris.
