TOUR REHEARSALS: QUESTIONS
-
I understand he's been rehearsing in Los Angeles.
-
5 song titles have landed in my lap. Supposedly these are 5 of "a bunch" of new songs rehearsed. How many make the setlist is anybody's guess. I'm not going to post the song titles, but the 5 I have been given are Wings and solo. I was hoping someone else might have heard similar to me.

But Paul will play his rehearsals in London or in USA?
Just the evening before at the venue to refresh 'Get Back' and 'C Moon', no?
-
Hmm...five new Wings/Solo songs in the set?...here's my wishes... -Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey -The Back Seat of My Car -Helen Wheels -Goodnight Tonight -Take it Away ...did I pick any winners?

Just 5 titles I have been given. Supposedly "a bunch" of new stuff rehearsed. Knowing our luck they'll pluck just one!

Altho he was in St Barts last week on holiday so not sure how much rehearsing he has been doing.

Haha, nice try.
-
I want to know more about the "dazzling re-designed set.".
-
moptops, I spoke with Abe the day before the show here in Memphis back in 2013. Asked him if they were planning on playing 'Hope For Deliverance'. He told me that Paul had removed it from the setlist. No reason given. PS: Hope you fans in Australia finally get your return gigs. I will keep my fingers crossed for ya'll.

How about Off the Ground, Helen Wheels, Beautiful Night, Tomorrow, Junior's Farm, Back Seat Of My Car...any of these would be so fantastic! Letting Go is great also! Good Day Sunshine is one of my fav BeaTles hits... Love In Song, This One, oh and Hope of Deliverance which only So America seems lucky enough to hear! Coming Up is Great!
Saw a clip of Hope of Deliverance in Orlando. The crowd reception was less than enthusiastic...

I would add Silly Love Songs to that list.

Moptops, i am keeping my fingers crossed too. I hope for Fool on The Hill, it would be great. And maybe Pipes of peace
-
Thanks Makka. And thanks Fletch.

They started rehearsals on March 18th in LA from what I heard. Obviously last week in St Bart's so they must be done
-
I hope Paul took lyric sheets of the new setlist additions to St Barts to read on the beach...
-
He'll just rely on his teleprompter.

He'll just rely on his teleprompter.
Of course. Nothing new there. Painful that you see him rely on it for things like Let It Be nowadays. Mr Kite I can understand, but Let It Be? He always uses the prompter for that.
-
He probably reads it to help keep himself awake in such an overplayed song I always use Let It Be as a chance to take lots of pics of him at the piano, as having heard it at every show, and prefering other piano songs, it's a break for me

In 1979 on the UK tour when I heard that, it was a jaw dropping moment. Likewise Hey Jude in 1989 Now when I hear them, my jaw locks.

Ron Howard tweeted a photo with Paul yesterday so he's back in LA...or at least he was yesterday... Ron was interviewing him for the Beatles documentary he's working on.

I never thought the day would come when those songs (and a handful of others) would bore me in concert and that instead I would be ecstatic to hear Temporary Secretary. Ah the law of diminishing returns.
