Just six weeks away, and I will get to see Sir Paul McCartney. Tickets are bought, I know where I'm sitting. 50 years of musical genius is on the threshold....threshold of a dream. I sure hope he plays "And I Love Her" for me and my wife. Morbid as it may be, but me and Paul are getting to be old folks. Who will be the next Paul McCartney -- or even be closely compared? He has been doing this for fifty years -- can you believe it? Really, literally, since the day I was born. That is an astonishing figure for me. Again morbid, but we all know about the day the music died with the Big Bopper, Richie Valens, and Buddy Holly. What is going to happen to us minions who crave love and love in and from music, the day Paul McCartney dies? Oo. I don't want to think about it, but, being on the dark side of 50, I know its coming to me as it comes to everyone. I really don't see anyone capable of bringing the world together and teach love as Paul has done. Who is out there that can take up his torch? No one. Paul is a singular one of a kind. Us fans love him, and cherish him -- the reason is clear, I believe. LONG LIVE PAUL!!! I'd give him the rest of my years if Doctor Mad Scientist could figure out a way to preserve Paul and let me go. It's hard for to me to "imagine" life without a Paul McCartney in the world.

"And I Love Her", my wedding song when I got married. And I will always love her. (Married Nov 2009)

I am like you and go waaaaay back with his music. I was in my mid-teens when the Fabs split and have always followed him. Strange how I can look back on his albums and how their release corresponded with key points in my life, makes it all very personal. Like no other musician, he is more like a friend than an entertainer since he has been around so long. The song he gave away to Peter and Gordon, "World Without Love" sort of fits the spirit of your message, that being a musical world without Paul. Here's too numerous years ahead for him and good health to enjoy it. Heck, with his birthday coming up soon, this is a birthday wish!!!!!!!

Let's hope he lives to a ripe old age like 95! Then..."I don't care what they say I won't stay in a world without...Paul."
