New Album Name (Be Serious...)
-
I think Pop Up is fine, it could be much worse, let's be honet.
-
He should name it. Worms don't like onions do they?

I did like the Radio Sky title idea from awhile back...
What Radio Sky?
Album title and content was mooted a couple of years ago.

This HAS been going on for a couple years already, hasn't it?

Yep, it was mooted for awhile. I don't know if the album was ever in the pipeline. Wasn't it demos done with Geoff Emerick? Still like the title though even if it was all just one big rumour.

What was the plan for it?

Where did this rumor of it being called Pop Up come from? Where did you read it, etc.?

Not sure?? Nobody ever was. Maybe the demo's have been fleshed out with the 4 producers??

Adriana Rojas:
I don't think that Pop Up could be the title, Paul likes long titles, and this is too short, no way. It might be something like: "You've waiting to long...but no more Kisses..."
Paul's done lots of albums whose titles are 2 words or less: McCartney McCartney II Wild Life London Town Driving Rain Flaming Pie Standing Stone Working Classical ... and lots that are just slightly longer, e.g. Tug of War

I think Radio Sky would be a great title. I thought it was reported on some McCartney fan sites last year????

Radio Sky sounds pretty bland to me. You need a title that attracts attention like Kisses On The Bottom which I thought was a good choice. Pop Up also doesn't sound very interesting. Paul I guess will come up with a lyric or song title that he likes or maybe some phrase that attracts his attention (eg:-Memory Almost Full) and thinks is appropriate to the content of the album.

Rumor about it being called "Pop Up"
Quite often the name of the new album is a song from the album so we shall see.
Actually, more than half of Paul's album titles are not a song titles. I think it could work as an album title, but I don't fancy hearing a song with that title sung by PM.

If I believed rumors, I'd still be waiting for a song called "Bushie Tushie Jelly Jam."
And "Yesterday" was originally supposed to be called "Scrambled Eggs".

Joey Molland told us yesterday that their group's name (Badfinger) came from John Lennon whose working title for some song (I can't remember) was "Badfinger Boogie."

It was the working title for With A Little Help From My Friends.

"Be Serious"? Why? Rather than a McCartney I/II follow-up we need a RAM follow-up. He should make the album a companion album with RAM by calling it "EWE". If he announces this soon then all the fans on here who've been getting so impatient for it will be able to sing as one: I want Ewe! I want Ewe so bad! I want Ewe! I want Ewe so bad it's driving me mad, it's driving me mad!

Or how about Got To Get EWE Into My Life and when we hear the album hopefully we will say PS I Love EWE.

Yes! Thank you! Yesterday there was a 2-girl group playing at the pub (onboard) and Joey was in the pub with us. They played a fantastic version of No Matter What! They used a backing track and the one girl played guitar. Of course we all sang along at the top of our lungs!
