Trust me, in person she is knock over stunning and sweet as well.
wow have you met her jlw44. im impressed. i have not paid much attention into checking her out til yesterday when the big news came out. i must say the more ive seen the more i like
I didn't meet her but inadvertantly found myself standing next to her while she was waiting to go backstage after Ringo's birthday concert at Radio City. I just stood and observed, but I was really taken by how stunning she was. Very understated too. She seemed genuinely lovely.

She looks attractive in some of the pix of her I've seen.

Congratulations to them both! Although, I do admit that I'm really surprised that Paul's marrying again. I suppose I always thought that Linda was really the only one for him. But it's good, I suppose, to see that he's found some stability again!
UGH! Please people stop saying that Linda was the only one for Paul. At one time she was, but now she's dead. Life is for the living. He deserves to love and be loved. I think it's great! I hope they have a wonderful life together.
Sadly, alot of fans wanted to see paul pining away forever, so he could fullfil their fairytale fantasies. No one has just one person for them. That is utter, sentimental nonsense.
Even Linda didn't feel that way. Paul even said she'd want them to mourn for maybe 5 minutes and then get on with things. Basically the same advice she gave to Geoff Emerick when he lost his wife. She honored life. And I also remembered her saying in Vanity Fair if for some reason Paul and her didn't make it then she wouldn't go into the field and cry, she'd pick up and move on. Clearly Paul knew Linda better than anyone, and clearly he knows that the one thing she'd want for him is to live and find happiness again. The funny thing is that so many fans believed in the fairy tale and the soul mate theory, but Paul and Linda clearly didn't. I guess it really all boils down to what one wants to believe.
sorry to be slightly off topic for a moment, as much as i love John & George, i wish he would stop mouring the both of them at every concert.
I think it's very classy of Paul to honor Linda and John at concerts. Everyone we love is not still on this earth, but we still love them and they are still a part of us. Congrats to Paul/Nancy.
i agree, it is classy honouring linda, it also gives us more of his wings/solo stuff, the john george thing has become a bit boring imo.

To get us all back on track here, this is a thread to announce and, hopefully, offer congratulations and discuss, in a civil way, Paul's happiness over his new engagement. On that line, I was quite taken with the picture on the main site of Paul's look of adoration at Nancy, and Nancy's gentle gesture of resting a hand on Paul's arm. They're obviously "twitterpated" (to steal a line from Tweety Bird), and I'm quite happy for them.

i agree and just think of the new creative spark this new serious love will bring to pauls songwriting! its all good news as far as i can see.even when he got with his second wife there is no doubt it brought a new lease of life to him as an artist.

Couldn't have said it better myself, lazy. When Paul is in love, he gets active in the studio. He was built to be optimistic, happy, and in love, and his songwriting appears to feed on those emotions, too. Yet one more reason for us to welcome Nancy with open arms.

There's one person I'll never apologize to, because I despise a lot of what he's written about Macca. I'm glad Paul and Ms. Shevell are blissfully in love, and also am in hopes that will inspire lots of fantastic new songs It looks like there are a few who keep harping on their domestic raptures the couple has found, partially in hopes to bother me, to get a rise out of me. But I really would be a miserable sort if I kept right on resenting it and being somewhat jealous, I'm not as terrible as all that, I don't mind seeing that" true love" can really happen. I'm cynical about it personally, so I love to see examples that it really can transpire. I love to watch romantic comedies and read novels with elements of love stories, for example, and read biographies and nonfiction that describe true love stories.
apart from the first sentence, that was very well written, love thy neighbour and they will love you back, your a romantic at heart, thats sweet

Wonderful news! Congrats and best wishes to Paul and Nancy May you enjoy a long and happy marriage.

Yes..happy for him aswell!! Can't say I'm surprised....we all pretty much knew it was coming...just a matter of time. I mean he's just a HOPELESS Romantic, isn't he??...forever the optomist, just like moi, but, I'll never tie the knot again, however, I would have made an exception for Paulie ..lol.
would you?,really i think paul is handsome do you find him atractive now?
-
...may you both enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
-
I think their pairing is age-appropriate. Hell, Paul looks 51 anyway! And he's got as much energy as his band.
-
"....married sometime this summer..." There's the answer to the question of more concerts this summer.... I bet he's taking the summer off-I would! Best wishes Paul and Nancy!

Seriously though has Ringo made any comments on Macca's marriage yet?
Didn't hear anything bout that yet. He did 'approve' of Nancy when they just started dating though. Like Paul needs his approval

Someone just sent me this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1384749/No-pre-nuptials-sight-Sir-Paul-McCartney-embarks-marriage-number-three.html
Thanks for posting that link. Bookmarked it on my computer. I sincerely hope that it works out for him and Nancy. I admit I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Linda and I truly hope that he's as happy with Nancy as he was with Linda.

Just read that Life&Style Magazine has a story coming out with "details" of the engagement and a picture it took Friday of Nancy wearing her "huge" engagement ring on the street in NYC. The magazine reports it costs $650,000. Woah. Keep in mind this magazine rarely checks any facts and tends to exaggerate. I have a feeling the coverage of this is going to be a little crazy; though maybe they will come to their senses and give them some privacy. Right.
-
Stunning! I read she gave the thumbs up when asked how they were doing! LOL!!!
-
Wow! Hadn't seen the ring yet, but it really is quite lovely. I just love how happy they look when they're together. I guess I'm living vicariously through their happiness. lol
-
WOWZA! Nice job, Paul! How will Nancy hold her hand up?
-
Congratualations Paul and Nancy. Walking down the aisle....smile Good Luck lol
