LOL - I still think that clip of C'mon People from Chile takes the cake as far as 'Paul lyrical blunder' awards are concerned...pretty much an entire measure or two of not being able to recall the lyrics and covering that up by mumbling an assortment of vowels and consonants...LOL - see video from roughly 1:15 to 1:20
PS - I can't recall who, however it's another pm.com boardie who originally posted this (perhaps even earlier in this thread - I didn't go back to check) -
Yeah, that "C'mon People" bit in Chile was...wow...bad.
-
I'm going to get it right this time... ... I must admit I may have made a few mistakes... Mwahahahaa! You're right, Paul, you did!

'fool who plays it cool' - he doesn't sing words during that part...just his little trick of making some vocal sounds to cover his mistake[/code]

I heard "For well you know that it's a fool that plays it cool." The only mistake is that it should be "a fool who plays it cool." *still confused*

To my ears, he gave that little passage the same treatment he gave during the 'C'Mon People' forgotten lyric... Not so much an Incorrect lyric per se....but a completely forgotten, unrecognizable sound to cover up

Well, Rich, I think you need to make an appointment with an audiologist, because it was completely clear to me what he sang and I'm sure my hearing has been damaged over the past 44 years of concert-going.

Rich is right.
You're both deaf! I listened to it 3 times with earbuds.

"...it's a fool WHO plays it cool..." That's not quite what Paul sang.

I KNOW darlin', that's what I said--he sang "it's a fool THAT plays it cool" instead. (read my post above 2/19 2 pm) Rich said it was just jumbled words or something, which it was not. End of discussion. (Agree to disagree situation)

What Paul sang is none of the above - he momentarily forgot the lyrics and sang 'da da da (number of 'da's' to = number of syllables of the line you cited)

I guess you felt the need to "get in the last word" even though I said end of discussion. Please, let's just agree to disagree!

I agree. Yeah, the brainfart lasted only a nanosecond, but I really think Paul spaced on that line.
