^ .I think i've lost a few posters too over the years, especially the ones that had been put up on the walls.
Mine were all confiscated by my mom when I was 17. I wonder what she did with them.
did you never ask her?
Yes, what did she do with them and why did she confiscate them in the first place?
its good to know i'm not the only nosey git on here
I was writing dirty stories and sharing them with my boyfriend who was quite impresssed. He liked the Beatles ones the best so I wrote lots of those and my mom decided to peek into my notebook and read them. She was appalled and confiscated everything Beatle related. a year later, she gave me a few new things like a Wings album, a Paul poster, a framed Beatles portrait that still is hanging in the house and I got the Two Virgins poster but I was 18 by now.

Actually, US Citizens had the chance for a similar gig when Paul did a rehearsal gig in 1989 at Lyceum Theater in NYC - clubhouse members were selected for that (not me though )...I did get the free Russian Album as well as the opportunity to purchase tickets through the club...

To be honest Kathryn the only person who had the right to be appalled is you. No good ever comes from reading other peoples diaries......or notebooks. Your Mom should have respected your privacy. What a shame that you lost all your Beatles memarabilia through no fault of your own?

I keep saying, family members that snoop deserve what they find.

All of my Fun Club stuff (with the exception of the photos & postcards) are all very carefully packed away in steamer trunks with other Beatles/Wings/Paul memorabilia. Safe from temperature & dust.

I think the Lyceum Theater gig was available for NYC area members. I was a member then and did not receive an offer to attend.
-
The Lyceum gig was a bit of a nightmare starting out. If we didn't run down from the crow's nest where they originally tried to stick us, we wouldn't have had a good view at all. They let radio station contest winners in ahead of us club members & we had been camping out on the sidewalk in front of the Lyceum since 4 a.m.!

I have a question about Club Sandwich #51, which included the Russian LP: Is that issue just one page (both sides)? Is it in black-and-white or colour?
-
Here are both sides of issue # 51: http://www.wingspan.ru/magazines/cs/cs51/page01.html http://www.wingspan.ru/magazines/cs/cs51/page02.html

Thank you, but those are not actual scans from issue 51. It seems someone just typed its contents on his keyboard. Someone told me that issue 51 was released both ways (colour and black-and-white), but it seems strange to me. Has anyone here actually got it? I would appreciate a picture. Thanks.

Not meaning to change the subject - but is that a pic of you and Paul? Appears to be circa 1988-1990 or so
