It`s a ballet, this is how much it costs. I suspect cheaper seats will be available. Nowords-I think you are bored and trying to cause a row on here. Why don`t you start another thread about dogs?
whatever you say its selling out

. I have noticed that since I joined this board I get more junk mail from Amex...(I actually got that to stop by writing them and all the credit cards a very potent letter years ago).
I don't get junk mail as a result of being a member of this board. Never have and I've been a member since 2002. I have never gotten junk mail from Amex.

actually American Express (AMEX) is a charge card; you cannot carry a balance on it, you have to pay it all off when the bill comes in. That's different from a credit card. HP was Paul's tour sponsor; he is partnered with them because they are putting all his archives on the HP cloud service. I have no problem whatsoever with Paul having a corporate sponsor, tours are very expensive to produce; seems a fair trade off for HP hanging a few banners in a stadium or having their name printed on the ticket as a sponsor. They are not an in your face sponsor like some.

How much are these ballett tickets going for?
$29., $55., $89., $129., and $133. Important to note that this particular ballet performance on the 22nd of September is the New York City Ballet's fund-raising Fall Gala. It is also the world premiere of Paul's Ocean's Kingdom. Paul is scheduled to be in attendance for this world premiere performance. As of 2005, the 22nd of September has been a celebrated holiday in our home, as it was that Thursday in 2005 that the triplets had the great honor of Paul inviting them onto his stage. In celebration of the 22nd of September, the triplets requested to attend this ballet. I have indeed purchased tickets - how could I not?! We hope everyone that is attending will enjoy the performance as much as we will.

September 22 is also the Fall Equinox, and we all know The Fireman Releases on the Equinox. TLP, I hope you and your precious children have a great time. I am so happy they won't miss out. Have fun!

Thank you so much, kittay!!! No doubt we will have a lovely evening!

it would be pretty hardcore if Paul suddenly said look, stop giving me your free $100s of millions in corporate sponsorships can't see that happening. I don't even notice any ad content that might come along with the shows, etc. seriously couldn't even tell you who the main sponsor is. I thought it was Apple Corps

I wish The Fireman was releasing a new album this year! I just meant Paul was releasing a new piece of work, being Ocean's Kingdom.

Yes - the money is being raised for the New York City Ballet. They'd be having a Fall Gala even if Paul had not created a ballet for them.
-
By the time I noticed the presale was on, all the best seats for the 22nd were gone. Why couldn't this presale be announced at least a couple of days before the 8th? I can't take off work anyway, so Anita (Triplets) will have to fill us in on everything. Anybody else going for the premiere?

watch it, honey. Doggies can bite. (that was an uncalled for jab, you know). I know that H-P was the corporate sponser for this tour. I have noticed that since I joined this board I get more junk mail from Amex...(I actually got that to stop by writing them and all the credit cards a very potent letter years ago). Wasn't ballet always the bastion of the rich upper class? Seems like it should be expensive. (I've been but I don't know how much it cost since someone else treated to get me into the art form).
haha yes there were HP people walking all over before soundcheck with signs saying HP.

only a limited amount of tickets were available on the AMEX presale. but be prepared for a meltdown of the nyc ballet website on the day of the public sale. They had multitudes of problems with the online ordering yesterday. Hopefully they will sort all of that out by the time the tickets go onsale to the public on the 15th. For the 22nd you must also realize that it is the gala for opening the NYC Ballet's season. It is a black tie event.
-
Patience is definitely necessary when trying to order from the NYC Ballet website. Good luck to all attempting to get tickets for 9/22, I hope you are successful.

I see the official web-site also lists the further performances of Oceans Kingdom if you are unable to attend the Gala premiere itself: September 2011 24th 2.00 pm 25th 3.00 pm 27th 29th January 2012 19th 21st 24th 27th 29th 3.00 pm All those performances are bookable now on the NYC Ballet web-site: http://boxoffice.nycballet.com/nycballet/c2012_SINGLE_TICKETS-p1.html# The American Express pre-sale condition still applies:
Please Note: From Monday, August 8 at 10 AM through Monday, August 15 at 9:59 AM, performances of Ocean's Kingdom, and any cart that includes performances of Ocean's Kingdom, must be purchased using an American Express card only. On Monday, August 15 at 10 AM, Ocean's Kingdom will be available for purchase with all other accepted forms of credit card payment.
Note the performance of Oceans Kingdom is part of an evenings programme and the evening programmes vary, so look closely at which other ballet performances are being performed on your selected nights. Obviously Paul should only be in attendance on the Gala premiere night. Martin

Not true. If you have a American Express "blue" card, you do not have to pay bill all at once
-
i was talking about the classic AMEX card.
