The Songs You Love.....That Most Don't.
-
Here are a few that I think are great, but realise most people don't or are indifferent : 3 Legs, Big Barn Bed, Cuff Link, To You, Lunch Box/Odd Sox, Stranglehold, Rough Ride, Biker Like An Icon, Long Leather Coat, Keep Coming Back To Love, Really Love You, If You Wanna, Tiny Bubble, She's Giving Up Talking, How Kind Of You, That Was Me. Just some of my faves that I hear lots of people deride or just not mention at all.

She's Given Up Talking does seem to get unfairly criticised or overlooked despite being the stand out track on Driving Rain and boasting one of the most intelligent and menaingful lyrics Paul has ever written. How Kind Of You (which you also list) is another firm favourite of mine. You Tell Me (from Memory Almost Full) also tends to divide opion but for me its classic McCartney. Love In Song i think is more overlooked than ctiticised but again is just the perfect blend of a mature song and a powerful performance. Waterfalls is another of Paul's classics that hasn't really been recognised as such......even by Paul given that he's never performed it live.

Well, off the top of my head here are a few. Press is a jolly good song. It never fails to lift my spoirits when I wacth it on my McCartney years dvd. Driving Rain live (From Back in the World CD). i understand why some dislike the album version but you can't deny it really rocks on the live album, so much more powerfull and I think the song finishes on a more effective note live. C'mon People- I just like the song. Catchy.

There isn't enough love for Eat At Home, She's Given Up Talking & How Kind Of You. But I don't really know if you could call any of those songs disliked.

My guilty pleasures have always been Your Mother Should Know and Maxwell Silver Hammer
-
C Moon, Honey Pie, Maxwells Silver Hammer, When I'm 64, Follow Me, Tiny Bubble, To You, After The Ball/Million Miles, One More Kiss, Children Children, If You Wanna, Ode to A Koala Bear, I'll Give You A Ring. Theres genreally not many Macca tunes I actively dislike just ones I very rarely listen too. Followed by McCartney II (which most either only like a couple of tracks or don't like at all. Its my 2nd fave macca album and I love all tracks.

Honey Pie, I thought you like CMoon! Lol, not sure why I believed so. Hi btw I was not so keen on Yesterday for a very long time. It changed when I was in Liverpool and heard someone playing it on the piano in the middle of a busy shopping street. Now it always reminds me of that.

I like Tiny Bubble a lot but I dislike She's given up talking, and now I remember one more I don't like: Jenny Wren.

C Moon is brilliant! I'm also a huge fan of Maxwell's Silver Hammer (agree with you on that one, Jenny!), Follow Me, Tiny Bubble, and When I'm 64.

I wouldn't object to him playing it live at all. I grew to love "Too Many People" after he started playing it live. Same with "Mrs. Vandebilt."

All three are great songs, at least from my perspective. I was just shocked to think that people don't like Back Seat of My Car, as it's in the "Songs You Love and Others Don't" thread...that means...gasp!...people DON'T like it!
I do, it's half of the other songs on Ram I have a problem with !!
