Careful, that is NOT the official venue website, and those links from within there take you to ticket broker/scalper sites to buy tickets!

It shows a good picture of the seating chart.

Doesn't look that much better or worse than the one found right on Ticketmaster.

So...has anyone been to this venue. How is it? Are the VIP seats under the roof? Any info?

I hate this venue . I haven't been to a show there in over 10 years. All of the seats are under the roof. The stage is wide and the angle of seating in the side sections is bad. I sat on the lawn once and the sound was awful and the screens were tiny. Admittedly, that particular show was a very long time ago, so hopefully they have upgraded the sound by now.

Yes, I hope they've made upgrades since you were there. I swore off outdoor gigs but it is tempting. You going to this one?

I'll put it to you this way. I live less than an hour from the venue, and yet I'm looking for Detroit or Des Moines tickets instead.

I was checking the mileage to Des Moines too. But Tinley is pretty close for me too. grrrr...such decisions!

I've been to many concerts here. Done the seating and the lawn. Haven't done VIP. I'm gonna be honest...not my favorite venue, but it depends on how much you're willing to pay. The lawn seats may be cheap (although probably not for Paul...lol), but you are really far away. From there, the sound isn't that clear. Depending on where you sit, you'll watch on a video board instead of seeing the stage. But there is also plenty of great lawn space. Just get there early and throw down a blanket. Seating...I had great seats for Def Leppard last year. Center, about halfway back. It was loud, but good! Made a huge difference from lawn seating and I actually enjoyed the show very much. They upgraded their on-stage video screen as well. Very clear. You're also covered in the event of rain (unlike the lawn). The downside to the seating here is there is are quite a few obstructed view sections, so watch out. If I'm going just to kick back with some friends and have a good, affordable time, we do the lawn. But if you want to enjoy the concert, the sound, and the view - go for the seats. The parking is chaotic. Plenty of space, but not many ways in and out. It takes a long, long time to get out because Harlem Avenue is already busy, and they usually start coning off and building up traffic quite early. My advice: get in there EARLY. Plenty of places to eat in the Tinley/Orland/Mokena area all near the venue beforehand, then get in, relax, and don't deal with the traffic headache.

Thanks for all that info. And the pic! It doesn't look like any obstructions for 2-5th rows. Do they have a restaurant on premises? If you do the soundcheck you usually get a meal.

Probably, but I would get a VIP ticket for sure.

It has always been a not-so-g0od venue, but they have made improvements. Video screens for the lawn, lots of food inside, no restaurants though. Parking is a huge open lot, and as somebody stated, only 3 ways in and out. Giant, and I mean GIANT pillars throughout the venue. So if you're not in the 100 level sections, there will probably be obstructions.

Oh yeah...GIANT pillars indeed...lol. That can be obnoxious. Gotta watch out for that on seating chart.
