Paul's New Album-- "New"-- CONFIRMED
-
On playback #15: it sounds like a great soundtrack song. It's pure Pop Paul. A refreshing sound considering today's robotic pop market.
-
Pauls new song is seems new age with that Beatles fling to it. What is so fantastic about all of Pauls music is that none of it sounds the same. It seems to be slightly rebellious which should go over greatly with younger generation. My son enjoyed it. I can't hear all the lyrics can anyone post?

Paul coming up on WXPN Philadelphia now! He'll be on the phone. http://xpn.org/music-artist/listen-live

It's also in the vein of Michael Buble's huge hit a couple of years ago: "I Just Haven't Met You Yet." If that can be a hit*****, then Paul's new one should be a monster. *=of course, Buble's is obnoxiously auto-tuned!

Don't know. This is one of only three radio interviews Paul is doing today. One is in progress somewhere else right now. XPN is still waiting for him.

She wasn't very probing about the album, but he was pretty talkative!
-
NEW:GOT YOU GET TO INTO MY LIFE.

I agree. She seemed almost distracted. And Paul clearly didn't feel like engaging her -- or prompting her, rather. Maybe she was nervous. They're playing the new song now.
-
Actually, the only thing similar between NEW and Got To Get You Into My Life, is the beat. Nothing else, really. And a lot of songs use that beat! Like GETTING BETTER.

He said that he'd accumulated a bunch of songs, and then he described the process of him working with each producer, basically auditioning them, individually, to see who would end up producing the album. But he said he liked all of them. And I hate to be a "Debbie Downer," but this is the part I didn't like: I'm a little bummed because he sounds like he's completely accepting that he's an oldies act now. He said (paraphrasing): "I'm on stage, basically reviewing this young man's work -- this 24-year-old's work...and I think: 'This guy wasn't bad.'" And, to keep himself challenged, to keep from getting bored, he likes to "challenge" himself...and that's why he added "Benefit Of Mr. Kite."
