London - casting call - Paul's "Queenie Eye" video

And of course the last time Paul clowned around with famous actors in a video that I can remember was... the last time he had a US Top 10 hit.
Even so, I still prefer to forget that tune!

The whole event for the 20 poor fans sounds absolutely HORRIBLE to me. To be left sitting in cafeteria-type chairs for 9 hours and then be expected to look fresh and eager and get up and dance!!!! Total dis-respectful of them. The rich and famous should be ashamed of themselves for treating these 20 people like this. Paul has made 100s of videos; he knows it takes 6 to 8 hours 'I'm sure. So why not have the 20 come in at 5 p.m.; NOT 9 a.m. I would have walked out and told them this wasn't any way for people who were working FREE and doing HIM a favor to be treated. This was disgraceful!!!!!

Yes, you are quite right- all video shoots are like this. Alot of sitting around. I think it was because of complaints from fans that Paul stopped involving them so much. Fortunately, the one fan who posted here has not complained and seems to have had a great time.

Maybe I'm looking at it too romantically, but I wouldn't mind being "stuck" inside Abbey Rd. Studios for 9 hours. Remember, the people there could take breaks and walk around the hallways a bit. Plus, you were surrounded by other major Macca fans, so there would be lots to talk about. And then...the payoff. Seeing Paul up-close and personal in Studio 2! I would have gladly spent my day like that rather than at my regular workplace.

Same here CAA! And from quarrygirl's post it sounds like she had the time of her life and made the most of her time at Abbey Road! There's always going to be someone that has to be so negative about someone's good time. Just the way of life sadly.

I guess I am just too old (6 to be kept sitting around for 9 hours. I'm glad the young-ones think this is ok. They are the ones that camp out overnight to buy call phones and tickets to things too. They will learn that life is too short to waste one's time waiting around. I'm glad she enjoyed it too.

Found the video of the movie while cleaning out my Dad's house and rewatched it recently. P.S. I love Paul's hair in the music video!

I'm not one of the young ones (58!) but as long as I was fed and could go to the bathroom, I wouldn't mind spending 9 hours at Abbey Road studios if the payoff was to get upclose & personal with Paul! I wonder if any of them got to speak to him?

Spending nine hours in a room with McCartney fans would be totally worth it for me. I'd be thrilled with that as well! I got as far as the doorway of Abbey Road Studios once, but was politely turned away while a friend of mine videotaped the scene. By 1992, they had stopped doing tours there.

My son took a pic of me on the top step in front of the door in 2006. Nobody shooed us away.

It amazes me that you think they were wasting their time. I bet a few friendships were forged that day, and they got to see Paul (and probably speak to him too).I just hope there were not too many moany people there.

Looks great but I can't stand that song.

Me too except I would happily forego the food. I'd be too excited to eat anyway.

They shooed us away when we asked to go in. I don't think they minded us standing there, except perhaps for my friend's camera pointing inside the door! Probably not a good strategy. I was nervous, though, so it's hard to remember clearly, except that out of the four of us, my friends tried to negotiate to get just ME in, since I was the biggest fan, but no go!

How soon they forget...
Video was Ok but the house was nice. What the chances that was filmed in Paul own house in Essex?

When life gets that short where I am not down for something like this...shoot me. Trapped in Abby Road studio for a day with Paul and friends creating something fun....yeah that was tough duty. Nine hours that fly by. Yeah maybe I am amazed too.

thequarrygirl, belated thanks for posting your story, so glad you had a great time. 9 hours at Abbey Road (with Paul as a bonus!!) would be terrific, even if all I did was sit there. . I have been inside Studio 2 and it was wonderful to just soak up the vibe and think about all the recordings that were created in that room.

What is happening with Queenie Eye video, does anybody know?
