Under-appreciated McCartney Songs

SusyLuvsPaul:
"Sweet, Sweet Memories" "Mumbo Jumbo" "Tomorrow" "Lindiana" "Daytime Nightime Suffering" "World Tonight" "Too Much Rain" "My Little Koala" (seems a bit like a slight throwaway, but it's smooth and endearing) "I Love This House" "Souvenir" "Style, Style" "Ebony and Ivory" "English Tea" "Mama's Little Girl" Oh there are lots more. More later
Great list too, SusyLuvsPaul! Really amazing how many fantastic songs Paul has!
I think we guessed that he's written about 800 or so songs, so he's bound to have more than a few gems!

Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for Tug of War, but I've always thought Take it Away is one of his best singles that doesn't get a lot of love. Also from that album, Somebody Who Cares (gorgeous) and Ballroom Dancing (fun and catchy as hell, and that bass!)
Thank you, I agree totally and "Take It Away"is one of the songs I would love to hear him do live especially with this band.

A thread I recently started on the under-appreciated Paul song that I love, "I'll Give You a Ring", has got me thinking about all the songs Paul has written that are hardly known or do not get enough appreciation. What songs in particular do you find are under-appreciated? What makes them good songs in your opinion? And why do you think they are not well-known or more appreciated? Would love to hear other people's thoughts and opinions!
I know McCartney gave it to the Everly Brothers but I think "On The Wings Of A Nightengale" is a gem and not well known.

It would be great, especially if he got a live horn section again. Can't believe he doesn't do that anymore!

Kicked Around No More. Pure Class, well sung and slipped out on a B side !

The most under-apreciated Paul songs are: (in order of under-apreciation, lol) 1- His classical music pieces and songs (Celebration, Gratia, Save The Child...) 2- His unreleased songs 3- His solo stuff (compared to The Beatles stuff) Probably Gratia is the most underapreciated thing he has done, maybe the best music piece of THIS CENTURY and probably more than 90 % of Paul fans don't even know it. Because when I say Gratia here, as one of his best, some boardies use to write "Gratia, what's Gratia?" Paul-Gratia

Thanks, would love to hear him do "official" version or sing it live during "acoustic" part of concert.

The whole Electric Arguments album.

Macca should write a song called 'Under appreciated'. Or 'Rare Gem' I shall nominate Lonely Old People as a sick song often forgotten about. So beautiful I can't even listen to it sometimes, too pure.
