I'd recommend the days inn hotel James street as a place to stay it's not expensive its next to James street station its 5 minutes walk to the venue

Me and my mum have stayed a few times at Premier in Hanover Street for gigs at the Echo Arena and it's been fantastic. Very reasonably priced if booked in advance. Not too far to walk to the arena and quite close to the Liverpool One for some shopping too. Of course if its within your budget lets not forget the Hard Day's Night Hotel!

I'll be in Liverpool from May 27 to 30. I've just found out that a band called Maroon 5 will do a concert at the Echo Arena on May 29, but I only know a couple of their old songs. Has anyone here ever been to one of their concerts? Is it worth going, since I'll still be in town anyway?

Hi Carlos, We just saw Maroon 5 last night in Philadelphia - great concert! This was our third time seeing Maroon 5 and have not yet been disappointed. Highly recommend, well worth your time particularly as you will be in town. Nice little connection you will enjoy, Adam Levine LOVES The Beatles! Adam has mentioned The Beatles at the three concerts we have attended which is always cool! You will hear several Beatles songs whilst waiting for the band to take the stage. Adam Levine on The Beatles:

        Maroon 5: 'Ticket to Ride'
        Adam Levine: 'If I Fell'
Have a great time attending Paul's forthcoming concerts! Always look forward to your pictures, reports, etc. Anita

THANK YOU, (((((PAUL)))))!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

I'd also recommend the taxi tour! The prices vary depending on which type of tour you choose: http://fab4tours.co.uk/index.php/prices I personally think the £55 "Lennon" tour looks to be the best value for money.

          RDS Arena, Dublin - 12th June, 2010
Ernst Happel Stadium, Vienna - 27th June, 2013
          Echo Arena, Liverpool - 28th May, 2015

          Echo Arena, Liverpool - 12th December, 2018

I have taken the Magical Mystery Tour bus and the National Trust Tour, but not the Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour. How many people would be in that group, and how much would it cost? Perhaps I could share that taxi tour with some of you folks on May 29, in case anyone is interested.

Hi Carlos, It can be anywhere from 1 to 5 people. The more people you have the less it costs per person. The costs vary on the length of the tour. We took the three hour tour and our awesome tour guide even took us to a few extra places that we requested. I think it ended up being something like 15 pounds a person for 4 of us, so not bad at all for what we got to see and do.

Having got 3 tickets for the family in the Echo presale (yay!) I've got a spare single £80 ticket from the pmc.com presale Section 10 Row HH, Liverpool Echo 28th May. Hardly the finest seat in the house but even still. Happy to sell at face value to a genuine fan. If anyone's interested; PM me.

I've never been to The Echo Arena. I've just Googled it's seating capacity and it says 11,000....that's a lot smaller than The O2 Arena. . I'm glad Liverpool is my last UK gig as my O2 Arena seats aren't great.

Just saw that the Beach Boys (sadly without Brian Wilson) are doing a show at Manchester Apollo (about an hour ride from Liddypool) on May 27. Bryan Ferry is performing at Liverpool Philharmonic on May 26, so plenty of geat concerts in the area. On another note, is the Casbah Club open by appointment only? I'd love to go there, as I have missed out on that on my previous trip to Liverpool.

Also performing in Liverpool the Saturday before the Echo show is Sean Lennon's The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (part of Liverpool's Sound City music festival). Too bad it's the same night as Paul's O2 concert...

Does Paul usually pick a fan to come on stage at his UK shows? I know he does it at most of his shows, just wondering. Also do you think cameras will be allowed at Echo Arena? I bought VIP tickets for Liverpool but I don't think they will arrive before I leave because I live in Australia. Does anyone know if we can pick them up on the day?

                            5th-beatle:

I have contacted CrowdSurge and told them that I will not be in Brazil anymore by the time (7-10 days before the concert) they send my ticket in the mail. Here is their reply: "We can now confirm that your ticket will be sent directly to the venue for you to collect on the night of the show after the venue doors open". That's good enough for me, as it is a numbered seat. What about you folks who bought a ticket either from the Echo Arena website or from Ticketmaster UK: are you only allowed to collect it once the venue doors have been opened as well?

Do you have VIP tickets for Liverpool? And they said you could pick them up from the venue?

This might need to be moved to a different forum How about using this to arrange a board meet up before the gig or for idea on where to stay what to do. Where to eat, getting to Liverpool etc thread. Great pubs and so on For example if flying in to Manchrster you can now get a tram direct in to Manchester Piccadilly for trains on to liverpool Top tip some trains from Manchester to Liverpool only take 32 minutes some take an hour

I wonder if a "boardies" meet actually works, fans i've met say there's a general apathy for that sort of thing which is a shame. I suppose someone has to organise it so in the end nobody does. I've met a few myself for gigs, but it's mostly been in ones and twos. I keep in touch with a few, and a number of them have become very good friends, love2travel,plasticsoulman, jimmymccullochfan, kestrel and Audi are the main ones who've stepped up to the plate. The only one i haven't been to a Paul gig with yet is Audi, but you never know?

No, the VIP tickets are sent by mail. The company told me that they can send it to your hotel, if you give them the address.

                                          I'd be up for a boardie meet-up!

It's doable... You, me and love2travel would have a great time.
