For those in Liverpool the day after the McCartney gig, The Original Quarrymen are playing a gig at St Peter's Church Hall, Woolton on Friday 29th May at 7:00pm. The gig features Colin Hanton, Rod Davies and Len Garry and starts at 7:00pm with tickets costing £30 available from The Beatles Shop beside The Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool as well as being available on the night. There will also be interviews, Q&A session, autograph and photograph opportunities plus a raffle to raise funds for St Peter's Church. [..]
This is great! Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the poster. That Quarry Men gig sounds like a good opportunity for us forum members to meet. I wish a group of dealers would get together somewhere during those two days in late May and sell LPs/CDs/memorabilia, like they do at the Adelphi during Beatleweek.

Anyone in the states hear anything about where our seats are and when we get our tickets? Getting on the plane in three weeks and starting to get nervous/excited!!

I think they were sending out the tickets 7 to 10 days before the concerts, I don't believe anything has changed. Make sure Event Travel knows the date you are leaving the US and also has a UK address for you, just in case they don't have time to send them to you at your US address.

I posted this a month or two ago but will just post it one more time in case anyone didn't see it or has changed their mind. The Fab Four Taxi Tour in Liverpool is a private Beatles tour costing only £55 for a group of up to 5 people (i.e. only £11 each if it's a full taxi). It's a 3-hour tour and goes to all of the key sites, including: - The Homes of John, Paul, George & Ringo - Birthplace of John - The Honeymoon Suite - A Case History - The Registry Office - The Penny Lane Experience - Shelter in the Middle of the Roundabout - Barbers Showing Photographs - Strawberry Field - St Peters Church - Dovedale Tower - St Barnabas - Elenor Rigby Tombstone - Matthew Street - + more It'd be great if we could get a group of at least 4 people together to make it work out good value for each of us. It gets fantastic reviews online and I've taken the tour in the past myself and agree with these opinions. It would be 29th May (day after the concert) that it would happen; if you have any interest in joining the group, send me a message.

I have a pair for sale for this gig, only want what we paid which is face value and booking fees (total came to £272 i think, i can check with my sister) They're on row G of block F on the floor. I've got a map! We ended up with a spare pair due the the hell stress of booking, my sister thought someone at work would have them but they backed out last minute, so i said i'd ask on here! Can meet you on the day at the gig to give them over - unless they do get posted out early enough to then post to you, we'd prob be there for his "drive in".

Do those of us coming from the states need an adapter for our electronics (electric razor/phone charger) in England ?

Yes you'll need an adapter. I forget the voltage as my friends had brought some to use, but you will need a voltage adapter.

Even if your device is dual-voltage, you will need a plug adapter.

Mark, if you did VIP tickets..front row or hot sound.....you'll get your tickets the night of the show so you won't know seat number until you get there. They'll send you an email of where and when to meet at venue for soundcheck. At check in, they'll give you your ticket with seat number on it

Hmm, that's strange because they had us soundcheckers(HOT SOUND, anyhow) pay an extra $50 to have the tickets "couriered" to our homes.

Out of all the shows I've seen over seas, I have never received my VIP tickets prior to my arrival the night of the show.

I noticed that and found it strange. They told me that collecting the ticket at the venue is something that can be arranged, so why charge ?44 for delivery? Their online customer service is not that great either, so in the end I decided not to buy their packages.

Yeah, I paid the extra $50. overseas overnight service fee also, didn't think they would really wait until the last minute to at least tell us where our seats are, lol

Yeah why charge the extra money if they are not planning on posting anything? That is a blatent rip-off and if they don't in fact mail *anything even to my UK address then I may try to get my money back.

For bigger bands, it varies between £20 - £25 per shirt.
