Just got my Hot Sound Package for Liverpool!!!!!!
Were you able to choose a seat??--because I went for HOT SOUND also and I was never allowed to choose my seat location--even though I've got a seat SOMEwhere in sections A, B or C--I have NO idea where exactly. I've emailed and called "Event Travel" with no response.
No, there was no option to select a seat with the VIP packages that I saw, either. I have never done VIP in the UK/Europe, but as I recall reading about from others who have, this is sometimes how it is done; you cannot select your seat. When they get their allotment from the promoter, then you get your seat assignment/tickets. It is quite annoying not to know where you are sitting after paying all that $. Tho I do remember this happening back in 1990 when we bought tickets to see Paul in London; one of the ticket agencies (legit seller) did not know where the seats were when we made our purchase (over the phone - Dinosaur Ages :cool nd we didn't find out where we were sitting until we got the tickets.

Thanks-it's nice to know that I'm not alone in my confusion. --I guess I'm spoiled with my 3rd or 4th row (right in front of Paul) seats that I usually score in the US. I need to focus on the fact that I'm going to see Paul play in his hometown--WOO HOO!! Now to plan the rest of my UK trip!! Austin 5/22/13 Sound check! Austin 5/23/13 Bonnaroo 6/14/13 & free Sound check Outside Lands 8/9/13 Jimmy Kimmel Hollywood Blvd. 9/23/13 Grammy Special Paul and Ringo 1/27/14 Ringo 7/11/14 San Diego Salt Lake City 8/7/14 Sound check! LA Dodger Stadium 8/10/14 Phoenix 8/12/14 San Diego 9/28/14 Sound check!

It's a dream come true for me as well. I have always wanted to go to one of Paul's EU/UK concerts, but I never expected the first one would be in Liverpool!

Carlos, have you been to Liverpool before? If not you will have a wonderful time! Take the Beatles taxi tour too!

I will also be going to Liverpool but not without much drama this morning! After getting numerous error messages saying card not processed, try again. I continued to try until a friend advised me to try paypal. That one went through after 2nd attempt. @ hours later, began getting payment requests on the pairs that showed transaction failed. Not only that..the 1st attempt at paypal showed up and was charged. After numerous attempted phone calls and email to Event Travel, I still haven't heard from them. Had CC cancel the unfinished transactions so I think that other than the extra set charged to my paypal..I might be OK. But in 2010, same thing happened and I wound up with 13 VIP packages. They caught the error that day and called me later that day and straightened it out and I never received 13 confirmations so I'm a bit scared that there might be more out there I don't know about

Question was asked about seat numbers This is the one major downfalls of attending concerts in the UK (at least for Paul) you never know where you are sitting until you get there that night (at least in the past and especially from another country) It's a real shitty way to sell tickets. You purchase US tickets you know your seat number before you hit the purchase button so If you don't like your seat , you can try again and release those Having said that...there is no better place on earth to see Paul McCartney then at a hometown show!!

So in the states when you buy vip you get to know exactly where you are before you buy? It sucks that over here they take your money and don't tell you Anyway, i don't have tix for liverpool yet, gutted to miss out today in the presale but hoping it goes ok in the normal sale as we can't not go, we just can't!

Hi All. Can anyone tell me where I can Get Tickets for London or Liverpool Concert ASAP. Tnx
-
sure, would love meeting you there. Plans right now on being there the 26th and leaving the 30th And yes, great thing about U.S. tickets sales, you see the seat number before you even purchse. This gives you the option to release the ticket and try again if you don't like it or purchase it. I've complained about the UK sales in the past. Don't know why it is like that but it stinks for sure! Not even trying for London or Birmingham...just shooting for 4 days in Liverpool to see Paul and visit friends..I love Liverpool and have been there numerous times concerts or for visits...totally love the people!! Then I'll hope for something closer to home which I think will come. Let's face it, there is plenty of time left in July and it looks like all of August as well from the schedule that has been released. So I would think, add more Europe/UK shows or finish off in the USA. Hasn't done NYC in 2 years so I'm holding out hoping for some nice Northeast shows where I really don't worry about travel expenses..can drive to most of them

Living in New Jersey is really a nice spot to be in with Paul shows going on. From my house..obviously the main arenas are about 40 minutes from my house..north or south. NYC is about an hour as is Philly Washington D.C is about 3 1/2 hours drive Boston 4 1/2-5 hour drive Conn 3 to 3 1/2 even Pittsburgh is only 5 or 6 So it's striking distance to a lot of places which is why i've been able to wrack up so many shows. Plus I love to travel, especially to UK

it is just the VIP seats that are not allocated, personally I require an aisle seat for others comfort. in the past some charming foreign birds have helped out.

Just in case someone is looking for a hotel in Liverpool, I would like to suggest these: http://www.premierinn.com/en/liverpool-hotels.html Good prices, Good location and good reviews.
-
Winchester used to be posh but then they built a premium inn, do not book if purple brings on fits etc.
-
Tickets bought! Can not wait! Staying at premier inn at Albert dock, first liverpool visit without hard days night hotel I'm guessing you guys all beat me to it!

I've stayed at that Premier Inn a few times before, it's a really nice place and very near the arena

It's right next to the Beatles story if I remember right? .... I'd sleep rough to see Paul there again though ..... Already got a trip to Liverpool planned at the end of this month, but not minding an extra visit one bit! I'm trying to think which songs i want to see him sing, but I think last time at the echo he pretty much covered everything!

WOW!!! First time I've ever been shut out of a Crowdsurge pre-sale! London, too! Even my girlfriend, who lives in London, got nothing. If any boardies got tickets for Liverpool or London they can't use I'd be happy to hear from you! Will try the general sale Monday but really thinking of just doing Paris and Amsterdam now. Airfare into Brussels or Amsterdam and taking the train is much cheaper than flying into LHR or CDG for me.
