It's short clip from a 1968 BBC documentary. As I was watching it I was struck by the fact that he's still so much the same. Even some of the phrases he used(little rockers playing in a rock group) and his hand movements, like that finger pointing up next to his head and like that. Our Paul looks quite handsome too. -

Yeah I realized that after I posted this one. I went to the YEsterday forum and was like "Hey I just posted the same thing" - or similar, this one doesn't have the cool acoustic Helter Skelter that I'd never heard before and has some rough edits, but on the other hand, it is clearer.

I saw that life Wings concert version a couple weeks ago - I'd never seen it before(same with the "Hi Hi Hi" from the same show) - I thought it was a good example of how underrated he's been. I mean as live performances they were pretty rockin' and amazing and Wild Life is certainly a good example of a socially conscious song belying Paul's "image" of a soft shallow lightweight. Personally I like the raw sound. I'm not saying I think it's the best song ever written but it's not nearly as bad as I always heard every song on that album was. It's quite a respectable socially conscious rock song writing imo.

thanks...i love this one from the 'wild life ' album too

Wow you know I never heard this one either - that's a lot cooler than I thought with a title like Mumbo. It kind of sounds like an extended jam.

Yeah, I love his blue suit as well. He's dressing a bit more classic and elegant these days I reckon. I found it so surreal sometimes, watching interviews etc. with Paul on youtube in the early days, and then comparing them to now. I need to remind myself that he actually got older, as one normally does But he ages quite beautifully I'd say.
Sure he does. And he stille gets that goofy boyish look on his face when he makes jokes and stuff. I like that. That you recognize the young (beatle) paul. At the concerts I have sometimes closed my eyes and just imagined it was young Paul singing. Not that I mind he is older (how could anyone), but just too get a bit of the sence that it actually is a former Beatle up there on stage. That's really something fantastic, when you, as you said, weren't there in the sixties. And yeah, blue suits are okay..!
I'll know what to try at my next Macca gig then.
Hehe, great. I don't know yet... have you seen him on this tour, or at any other?
Indeed I have, I went to the London show and thought it was absolutely brilliant. I can't wait until next time!

Ooh you know what bit I forgot to mention I love - the bit where he says "pop music is the classical music of now", not just because it was true back then but because he gets really serious about, there's something kind of earnest about it, a true believer.

that wasn't my favorite paul hairstyle and suit i've ever seen him in, in the david harty six part interview, not by a long shot-- but he still turned me on big time even so with his looks, personality and charm and he seemed so guileless and open, obviously not holding back or hiding anything, he was really on an extroverted roll that day and also seemed so boyish. he was funny and his idea to be an anonymous busker on the london streets playing and singing for change played out so hilarious and amusing. only an american tourist recognized him i just love seeing this interview

regarding the music videos i posted from 'wild life'--that album must be fantastic very under rated too i'm dying to get this album

I don't have a video to post but you know what bit of footage I absolutely adore more than anything? The Anthology "videos" of Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out. Paul and John are absolutely first class adorable in them. Those two guys? Anyone who has any doubt that they loved each just needs to watch those.

I could not agree more with your post. Those are not only hilarious but really wonderful as well, showing a loving relationship between them. In fact, I think they deserve a post, so here they are! Thanks for mentioning them high_wilusa. We Can Work It Out: I believe there are several promos for WCWIO, but this one is a mix of all of those. My favourite moment is probably 2:03!
Day Tripper: A bit from the Anthology in the beginning and in the end, and then a mixture of several promos as well. Love Ringo's air drumming and sawing as well! -
Oh thanks so much. I love 2:03 as well. Ah...I just want to hug them both. But yeah, that's beautiful stuff.
