I guess they're deciding where to place particular songs on a track-by-track basis. Makes sense. "Country Dreamer" fits just fine on BOTR, but "My Carnival" would seem totally out of place on Press To Play.
The reason my carnival sounds out of place is that it was recorded in the venus and mars sessions. So that song should be on that album

Yes, that was my point. "Country Dreamer" was recorded during the "Red Rose Speedway" sessions but I guess Concorde concluded that is since it's so close to the "Band On The Run" period it was better to include it on that album along with "Helen Wheels" (which WAS recorded during the BOTR sessions). If the rumoured tracklist for "McCartney II" is correct, they've apparently decided to separate A and B sides if there's a significant gap between recording & original release. Otherwise "Lunch Box/Odd Sox" and "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reggae" would appear on this album together with the relevant A-sides.

Wings over America The normal album no changes. But for the DVD it shall have rockshow with the songs that they took out of the original version. And some behind the scenes from the tour Give My Regards To broad street The normal album but with the 12" songs. And the DVD with the film and behind the scenes .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McCartney_II If You Go down a but its got the setlist if the reissues
It's just copying the post made by the person who leaked this info. Nothing is official as of now. Remember he said that tracklisting was how it stood as of this past February. Things will probably change before the release but I do hope most of what's listed there (if not all of it) will be on the final version.
But if it is true - I see it includes 'All You Horse Riders', which makes this an essential Actually, the info on this link turns out to be true, it would be a nice item to pick up. As an aside, if this is true (as well as what we already got with BOTR), would these reissues then make any proposed 'Anthology/Box Set' moot?
-
I'm a little worried... I'm one of those who bought the BOTR Special Edition (2CD+1DVD) because I'm a sucker for bonus tracks, but I also like things to be reasonably priced. Since the Deluxe edition of BOTR was exorbitantly priced, and I figured I could live without the documentary audio disc from the old 25th aniv. edition, I thought the Special Edition was perfect for me. Now, fast forward to the current "leaks" and rumors about the McCartney and McCartney II reissues... Everything I've read has said that these albums will be released as 2CD sets, and 2CD+1DVD Deluxe sets with 100 page books (sounds a lot like the BOTR Deluxe). Add to this, the supposed leak of bonus material for McCartney II claims there are 3CDs+1DVD. Now I can live without the DVD since most of what's rumored to be on it, I already have on the McCartney Years DVD set, but that 2nd bonus disc seems pretty hefty with extras. Do you guys think the Special Edition will include all 3CDs? Or 2CDs and the flimsy DVD? Or just the 2CDs like in the rumors? Is Macca planning on making an $85 box set for EVERY single one of his reissues? This doesn't bode well for bonus track completists with tight wallets like me... Thoughts?
-
In this series of releases I think we'll get the big packaging from the 6 listed on the paper inside BOTR. Then some of his "lesser" albums will get a smaller packaging with a CD of outtakes in-between the bigger releases.
-
I have the links for anyone who wants them but I started a new thread to discuss what you think will be included and the tracklist for the bonuses on both McCartney and McCartney II.

reissues will be available in japan from 8th june...

Well seeing how the "Archive Collection" re-releases as now have albums coming in with just either a bonus disc for each album + one lavish release with the original album, a 120+ page book with a DVD & including ANOTHER bonus disc, I have suggestions that I wonder what others will think of and what Hear Music or even Paul should ever see for ideas for the next re-issues of the albums in the "Paul McCartney Archive Collection", so here is what I hope is done for the re-release of "Wings At the Speed of Sound" as a Deluxe Two Disc set: Disc 1: The Original Album: 1. Let 'Em In 2. The Note You Never Wrote 3. She's My Baby 4. Beware My Love 5. Wino Junko 6. Silly Love Songs 7. Cook of the House 8. Time to Hide 9. Must Do Something About It 10. San Ferry Anne 11. Warm and Beautiful Disc 2: Demoes and Etc.: 1. She's My Baby (Soundcheck Performance - Melbourne - November 13th, 1975) 2. Don't You Wanna Dance (Long Demo)* 3. Norfolk Broads (Demo)* 4. Fishy Matters Underwater (Long Demo)* 5. Beware My Love (Instrumental Demo) 6. Must Do Something About It (Paul McCartney Vocal Version)# 7. Silly Love Songs (Without the string and brass overdubs with Paul scat-singing the Horn Part) *YES, these exist and think they should be included for extra time. #IT EXISTS! No joke, it's not a rumor, a roadie I believe from what I've heard passed away and I believe his material on tape had been auctioned off and then leaked on the web around c. 2008~2010 and this version of the song is intact and should be included and I heard it's longer than the Joe English vocal version of the album, so what the Hell!? If anyone wants to picket at my suggestion, feel free to do so!

Forget my previous idea of what the "London Town" reissue in the Paul McCartney Archive Collection should include I decided it should have a bonus disc and a DVD, so here is what I hope Hear Music does for the "Paul McCartney Archive Collection" Reissue Deluxe Edition version of "London Town" with a 120+ page book (if possible : ) Disc 1: 1. London Town 2. Cafe on the Left Bank 3. I'm Carrying 4. Backwards Traveller 5. Cuff Link 6. Children Children 7. Girlfriend 8. I've Had Enough 9. With a Little Luck 10. Famous Groupies 11. Deliver Your Children 12. Name and Address 13. Don't Let It Bring You Down 14. Morse Moose and the Grey Goose Disc 2: 1. Mull of Kintyre 2. Girls' School 3. Mull Of Kintyre ("Final Demo") 4. Mull Of Kintyre (Instrumental Demo) 5. El Toro Passing (Thanks for the track inclusion suggestion, cb70!) 6. With a Little Luck (Demo) 7. I'm Carrying (Acoustic Version) 8. Waterspout 9. I've Had Enough (Live in Glasgow - 1979) DVD Tracklisting: 1. Mull Of Kintyre (Recording Session - Summer 1977) 2. London Town (Original Music Video) 3. With a Little Luck 4. I've Had Enough 5. London Town (Paul, Linda and Denny walking around Thames, London) 6. Paul McCartney and Denny Laine on the Southbank Show - October 1977 7. Mull Of Kintyre (Original Promo Video) If anyone wants other outtakes from London Town or the 1976-1978 period to be added as a suggestion for ideas on the Discs, let me know so I can add them in or start a new idea please! 'Cause I apologize if this looks lackluster, but who knows what could be added in.

My idea of what the "Paul McCartney Archive Collection" Deluxe Edition of "Wild Life" should include: Disc 1: The Original Album: 1. Mumbo 2. Bip Bop 3. Love Is Strange 4. Wild Life 5. Some People Never Know 6. I Am Your Singer --Bip Bop Link-- 7. Tomorrow 8. Dear Friend --Mumbo Link-- Disc 2: Singles, Live Performances, and Etc.: 1. Give Ireland Back to the Irish 2. Give Ireland Back to the Irish (Instrumental) 3. Mary Had a Little Lamb 4. Some People Never Know (Cavendish home recording, thanks cb70!) 5. Some People Never Know (Alternate Mix, thanks cb70 for the correction!) 6. Wild Life (Rehearsal) 7. Rooster a.k.a. The Great Cock and Seagull Race (Thanks again, cb70 for a great sugg.!) 8. Mary Had a Little Lamb (Long "4:36" Time Version) [It EXISTS!] 9. I Am Your Singer (Live, 21 August 1972, at Congresgebouw, The Hague, Netherlands) I found out there was a alt. mix/acetate version : of "Mumbo" that's out there, but I didn't include it because it sounded TOO narrow, so sorry.

What I believe a "Deluxe Edition" version of "Pipes Of Peace" for the Archive Collection should include: Disc 1: The Original Album: 1. Pipes Of Peace 2. Say Say Say (As "Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson") 3. The Other Me 4. Keep Under Cover 5. So Bad 6. The Man (As "Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson") 7. Sweetest Little Show 8. Average Person 9. Hey Hey 10. Tug Of Peace 11. Through Our Love Disc 2: Outtakes and Etc.: 1. Say Say Say (Extended) [As "Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson"]* 2. Say Say Say (Instrumental)* 3. Keep Under Cover (Alternate Take) 4. Average Person (Alternate Take) 5. On The Wings Of A Nightingale 6. Twice in a Lifetime *The Two versions of "Say Say Say" NEED to be released and be the first tracks to be played in the Bonus Disc. I'm sorry I didn't add in more but I couldn't find other good audio or tracks to include, OTHER THAN "Ode to a Koala Bear" (Belongs on the reissue of "Tug of War", IMO). I also added in "TIAL" because despite rumors of it recorded in either 1984 or 1985 it might have been recorded in 1983 and it should be on the bonus disc to fill time.

My thoughts on what the "Paul McCartney Archive Collection" Deluxe version of "Give My Regards to Broad Street" should include: Disc 1: The Original Soundtrack Album: 1. No More Lonely Nights 2. Good Day Sunshine 3. Corridor Music 4. Yesterday 5. Here, There and Everywhere 6. Wanderlust 7. Ballroom Dancing 8. Silly Love Songs 9. Silly Love Songs (Reprise) 10. Not Such a Bad Boy 11. So Bad 12. No Values 13. No More Lonely Nights (Reprise) 14. For No One 15. Eleanor Rigby 16. Eleanor's Dream 17. The Long and Winding Road 18. No More Lonely Nights (Playout Version) 19. Goodnight Princess Disc 2: Remixes, Recordings, and Etc.: 1. No More Lonely Nights (Extended) 2. No More Lonely Nights (Special Dance Mix) 3. No More Lonely Nights (Arthur Baker Mix) [Baker mix diff. from SD Mix at all???] 4. No More Lonely Nights (Mole Mix) 5. I Love This House (with David Gilmour) [Whole version; with "acceptable" sound.] 6. Lindiana 7. We All Stand Together Yeah, lots of great 80s filler for this one, though I wonder if "We All Stand Together" was recorded in 1980 or so and should be on "Tug of War" : IDK?? Just filling time!

"Fill time?" If you eliminate "Say Say Say" and "The Man" you could probably whittle this down to a single disc...

2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reggae (As "Paul McCartney")+ 7. Must Do Something About It (Paul McCartney Vocal Version)# + I know that there is a debate on whether it should be on "V&M" or "WATSOS" but it should be on the "WATSOS" because it MIGHT have been recorded in 1976 and seeing how it has a X-mas theme it must have come from LATE December 1975 which could associate itself (by school years) with an early 1976 released album which is "WATSOS" and there is MORE material to add to the bonus disc(s) of "V&M". Paul's version of "Must Do Something About It" has been available for a year now. It's no longer than the version on Speed of Sound but it does have a different drum and guitar track. Rudolph dates from late '74 to early '75 when Paul was doing the music for the Geoff Britton Empty Hand project. Hopefully WATSOS would include the reggae version of "Silly Love Songs" and maybe one or two more outtakes and save the rest for the box.
