cd 2: 1. Live and Let Die 2. I Lie Around 3. Hi Hi Hi 4. C Moon 5. Tragedy (unreleased track) 6. The Mess (unreleased studio version) 7. Mama?s Little Girl 8. Soily (unreleased studio version) 9. The Mess (live)
Although not gems i would certainly add: 10. Give Ireland Back To The Irish 11. Give Ireland Back To The Irish (version) 12. Mary Had a Little Lamb (full version) 13. I Would Only Smile 14. Night Out 15. Thank You Darling 16. Jazz Street For a third cd i would like to see a complete Wings over Europe live show. For the dvd, i'd also like to see a film of one of those Wings over Europe shows plus the complete ICA rehearsals from earlier in 1972. Btw....the Macs Disney tv appearence was from 1973 and not 1972.
I wouldn't add any unreleased songs what so ever. I'd rather these remasters contain everything that's been released to finally get it right and save the outtakes for future projects. With that said, there's the German mix of "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and the radio promo for "Hi Hi Hi" off the top of my head.
To my opinion I think "several" unreleased songs should be included on the remasters, while others (even in alternate forms) be included in the Macca Boxset, but the original songs intended for "RRS" NEED TO BE ON THERE! Whether the Macca Anthology is done or not! They got to be part of the remaster finally and this my alternate plan for a Deluxe Edition Version of "Red Rose Speedway" with a DVD! V Disc 1: The Original Album with Outtakes 1. Big Barn Bed 2. My Love 3. Get on the Right Thing 4. One More Kiss 5. Little Lamb Dragonfly 6. Single Pigeon 7. When the Night 8. Loup (1st Indian on the Moon) 9. Medley: Hold Me Tight/ Lazy Dynamite/ Hands of Love/ Power Cut -Bonus Tracks- 10. Mama's Little Girl 11. Country Dreamer [Yes it was on BOTR, but it was *intended* for RRS either way] 12. Night Out 13. Jazz Street 14. I Lie Around 15. The Mess (Studio Version) 16. Seaside Woman (As "Suzy and the Red Stripes") [C'mon it was a good Linda song] 17. Live and Let Die 18. Hi Hi Hi (As "Wings") 19. C Moon (As "Wings") 20. Hi Hi Hi (Radio Advert) [Segues into...] 21. Give Ireland Back to the Irish (As "Wings") 22. Mary Had a Little Lamb (As "Wings") 23. Give Ireland Back to the Irish (Instrumental Version) [As "Wings"] Disc 2: 1972 "Wings Over Europe" Live Concert Mash-Up Disc 1. Best Friend (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 2. Soily (Live , 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 3. I Am Your Singer (Live, 21 August 1972, at Congresgebouw, The Hague, Netherlands) 4. Seaside Woman (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 5. Say You Don't Mind (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 6. Sometimes I Just Can't Keep From Crying (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 7. Give Ireland Back To The Irish (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 8. Cottonfields (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 9. My Love (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 10. Henry's Second Blues (Live, 22 August 1972, Antwerp, Belgium) 11. 1882 (Live, 20 August 1972, at Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Netherlands) 12. The Mess (Live, 21 August 1972, at Congresgebouw, The Hague, Netherlands) 13. Wild Life (Live, 21 August 1972, at Congresgebouw, The Hague, Netherlands) 14. Hi Hi Hi (Live, 21 August 1972, at Congresgebouw, The Hague, Netherlands) 15. Complain to the Queen (Live) DVD Listing: 1. 1972 ICA Rehearsals (Selections of the Best Material) [For DVD Space!] 2. 1972 "Wings over Europe" Live Concert (Selections...[Yes for DVD Space, Again!] 3. My Love (Promo Video) 4. Give Ireland Back to the Irish (Rehearsal) 5. Mary Had a Little Lamb (Flip Wilson Show Performance) 6. Seaside Woman (Animated Promo) 7. THE JAMES PAUL MCCARTNEY TV SPECIAL (The Whole Bloody Thing on DVD) So, that's what the Deluxe Versions of "RRS" should include to my view, feel free to nit-pick and argue if you want. Since to most people on "rateyourmusic.com" (Yes, that's my guide to find out which album is Good to Excellent and to stear clear from bad to horrible albums.) Like RRS OVER "Wild Life", it should what I suggested, I really don't want to buy a 3 Star Album with a Ton of Bonuses unless the pricing is different, but that's just my view. If all of what I said can't be on the RRS Remaster/Deluxe Editions, then maybe release The James Paul McCartney Special separately or put the other videos in a "Paul McCartney Anthology" DVD series. Yes, I added more unreleased material, But I did it to give the album more to buy for, than just put out a very short Bonus Disc and one DVD. Also I took off "I Would Only Smile", since it's part of a DENNY LAINE album, I would only include if there is an alternate mix of it, so, it wouldn't look "tacky", like adding original album cuts to another album, I don't like that! javascript:emoticon('')

Here I go again: My suggestion for a "Press to Play" Deluxe Edition. What's missing?
Off the top of my head would be the 7" mix of "It's Not True". Plus, "My Carnival" belongs on the Venus and Mars deluxe set.
My plan for a "Venus and Mars" Deluxe Set: Disc 1: The Original Album: 1. Venus and Mars 2. Rockshow 3. Love in Song 4. You Gave Me the Answer 5. Magneto and Titanium Man 6. Letting Go 7. Venus and Mars (Reprise) 8. Spirits of Ancient Egypt 9. Medicine Jar 10. Call Me Back Again 11. Listen to What the Man Said 12. Treat Her Gently/Lonely Old People 13. Crossroads Theme Disc 2: Non-Album Singles, Rehearsals, and Outtakes: 1. Lunch Box/Odd Sox (As "Paul McCartney and Wings") 2. My Carnival (As "Paul McCartney and Wings") 3. Proud Mum 4. Walking in the Park with Eloise (As "The Country Hams") 5. Bridge on the River Suite (As "The Country Hams") 6. Junior's Farm (The Full Single Version, NOT THE "DJ EDIT") 7. Sally G 8. Proud Mum (Reprise) 9. One Hand Clapping 10. My Love (1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance) 11. Live and Let Die (1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance) 12. Medley: Little Woman Love/ C Moon/ Little Woman Love (Reprise) [1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance] 13. Wild Life (1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance) 14. Junior's Farm (1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance) 15. Medley: Hi Hi Hi/ Go Now! (1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance) 16. Blackbird (1974 "One Hand Clapping" Performance) 17. Medicine Jar (Take 1) 18. Medicine Jar (Take 2) 19. You Gave Me The Answer (Early Take) 20. Call Me Back Again (Alternate Version) 20. Lunch Box/ Odd Sox (Demo) 21. Treat Her Gently/ Lonely Old People (Demo) 22. You Gave Me The Answer (Demo) 23. My Carnival (12" Party Mix by Gary Langan) [As "Paul McCartney and Wings"] 24. Letting Go (Single Mix) 25. Venus and Mars (Instrumental) DVD Listing: 1. The 5.1 Stereo Mix of the "Venus and Mars" album (Audio Only) [Well with a slideshow of images along with the "Letting Go" Promo being synched with a 5.1 Stereo Mix of the song.] 2. The Venus and Mars Album Commercial 3. Junior's Farm (1974 Studio Performance) [Not the one(s) on the "McCartney Years" DVD] 4. 1975 Live Wings Concert in Melbourne, Australia Yeah, I know that the video versions of the "One Hand Clapping" songs are all on BOTR, but I'd thought some of the stereo versions of them appear HERE, since it was recorded AROUND the time of the "Venus and Mars" sessions and am mixing around with the outtakes of "V&M" tracks and found out that they're were two alternate takes of "Medicine Jar" and I want the Party Mix of "My Carnival" on CD, not as a downloadable track. Also I put the "Country Ham" songs and Sally G here, since they WERE recorded around time for the sessions of "V&M" and should NOT be on "WATSOS". Also if they do take the track-listings I put out or not, and the Concert and 5.1 Stereo Mix of the Album take too much space on the DVD, maybe take out the "Junior's Farm" Video for the Macca Anthology DVDs or something, I dunno, just suggestions.

My view on what a "Ram" deluxe edition album should have... Disc 1: The Original Stereo Album: 1. Too Many People 2. 3 Legs 3. Ram On 4. Dear Boy 5. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey 6. Smile Away 7. Oh Woman Oh Why? (As "Paul McCartney") 15. Little Woman Love (As "Wings") [YES, I found out despite it being released in 1972, the song was actually recorded during the "Ram" Sessions] 16. Rode All Night 17. A Love For You 18. The Back Seat of My Car (Instrumental) 19. A Love For You (Instrumental) 20. Dear Friend (Demo) Disc 2: The Original Mono Album: 1. Too Many People 2. 3 Legs 3. Paul McCartney Interview with Sue Lawley - January '82 6. Ebony and Ivory (Solo Version Promo Video) Yeah, I added some alternate versions of "Pipes of Peace", but I did it just to mix things around and those songs WERE recorded during the "Tug of War" sessions no matter what either way and I don't want a deluxe edition version of "PoP" since it wasn't thought of that well by most Macca/Beatles fans from what I know. And I hope you all like my suggestions, feel free to comment! javascript:emoticon('')

Hi Entwistle905, I like all of your suggestions! Looking forward to the actual releases & wondering what they will look & sound like!

I really hope we'll get a DVD for Flowers In The Dirt with the complete 65-minute version of the Put It There documentary. Only the shortened 45-minute version is available on DVD now, and this would be a perfect time to rectify that situation.
-
I'm afraid we could all get a bit dissapointed about the bonus tracks that will be available on the future releases. I don't think the bonus tracks available on Band On the Run were that comprehensive..but I hope you guys are right..

Where's "So Long, Yvonne"? It's actually one of my favourite songs. It's on a bootleg with rough Press To Play mixes I have so I figure it belongs to the Press To Play sessions. I'd really like to hear the rough version of that album in good quality. In its rough form it's one of my favourite albums by Paul. But I hope they do 'Ram' next. Until 'Chaos & Creation' this was my favourite album by Paul. It would be cool if all those archive reeleases came as a book in their super deluxe version. I have no idea whether there's enough documentation out there about Ram and its sessions. Though Linda probably snapped a few pics. Interviews with Paul and some of the people participating would probably be included. I figure the book would be really colourful just like the LP cover. And maybe we'll finally find out if "3 Legs" was really a message to John.

Hi Entwistle905, I like all of your suggestions! Looking forward to the actual releases & wondering what they will look & sound like!
Thanks wirral, I really appreciate what you thought of my views on what the re-issues of some of these albums should look like, like I said before, they are suggestions in case anyone from Concord/Hear Music decides to use any of our ideas for any of the reissues... All I hope is all the albums to be reissued get remastered the way the "BOTR" re-release was and I hope at least "V&M", "Ram", "Tug of War", & "BTTE" all get deluxe treatments with extra DVDs and a bonus audio CD... I'm still suprised that no one has bothered to give out a rough list or anything to tell us what will be on the "McCartney" re-release and "McCartney II" re-release since I heard a rumor they'll be the next albums to get remastered and re-released after "BOTR" was, I don't mind "McCartney" and even "McCartney II" being just single Discs, but I just hope the do get bonus tracks or a bonus CD of extras and at least "McCartney" gets a DVD.

Like I've said before, Hear Music/Concord better give at least "WOA", "V&M" and "Ram" Deluxe Treatments like "BOTR" just no book included (well maybe a tiny one for "Ram" and "V&M") and no four disc special deluxe release for the other albums, well except "Venus & Mars", since there is a lot to add with the release (the original album, the extra songs recorded, the 5.1 Stereo Mix on DVD, Promos, and even the 1975 Wings Melbourne Concert on DVD), Now THAT I'd like for "V&M", a single disc release, a 2 CD/1 DVD release, and a boxset with a book and an extra DVD... As for "Ram" and "WOA", I can see them giving them a single disc remaster, & a 2 CD/1 DVD release for "Ram", Stereo Disc, Mono Disc, & DVD with promos/live performances... "WOA" same thing, just an extra DVD with the whole "Rockshow" Video. "WATSOS" and "McCartney II" were never Paul's best albums (the usually get "3 stars" from music fans like on rateyourmusic, allmusicguide, and etc.) so I see them just getting remastered, but I pray they get a few bonus tracks or a bonus disc for each, nothing more, though, just to my opinion... "McCartney" may just follow the tradition of being released by itself, just remastered and on one disc UNLESS there are more extras to include and a DVD, IDK.. I hope they do give deluxe treatments of the other three albums for the fact that they are (V&M, Ram, "WOA") the most critically acclaimed and are well liked as "BOTR".. If they don't give "V&M" a "Box Set" treatment like BOTR I'll gone insane! JK.

I think that song is just known as "Yvonne" yeah it was recorded during the "PTP" sessions, but seeing how I'm skeptic they'll give a 2/3 star album like "PTP" the deluxe treatment, I only see the album getting a single remaster and an extra Disc, no DVD, no alternate album disc... However I also favor Hear Music and Paul to work on a "Naked" (Like with "Let it Be", "Double Fantasy") Version or a rough mix version in excellent quality of the "Press to Play" album since it is more received well by die-hard Macca fans who buy bootlegs than the regular version, and include "Yvonne" with it.. As for "Ram" nothing new as of 11/04 about what'll do with it, but I do wish (along with a single stereo remaster) release it accordingly during it's 40th anniversary peek with a deluxe version of the album like "BOTR" with an extensive booklet, other pictures from the period of late 1970/early 1971, a Mono Mix of the album, bonus tracks, and a DVD with promos and live performances...

I'm curious: Is there even any notable video material of the Ram period around?

Denny Wingman:
I'm curious: Is there even any notable video material of the Ram period around?
Oh yes, there are several promo videos that were made for and done during the "Ram" Recording Sessions and after it was released. The promo videos of "Ram" songs that still exist on tape and have been broadcast here and there are promo videos for... Another Day, Uncle Albert/ Admiral Halsey (I believe the promo video for the song is real, but it looked very *new* like it was done years after "Ram" was released and it had Paul and Linda hanging at home using angle close-ups of them picking up stuff, very odd), Heart of the Country, and 3 Legs (Copies of the tape of the video still exist?? I noticed it was omitted out of "the McCartney Years" DVD Release) There is also a Home Video of the "Bip Bop" Medley from "Wingspan" with Paul, Linda, and Mary from rumors I've heard. Also, there are 1972 Live Performance Videos of Eat At Home and Smile Away that were done during the "Wings Over Europe" Concert from what I've heard, too and maybe since they were done during the early 70s, and there are few videos to include on the DVD they should also do a Documentary on the making-of the album just like the "Making-Of" BOTR promo videos Paul did for it's rerelease, just to fill time.
-
Why not a special treatment for "Off the Ground" with all the extra songs you can only get as an import from Japan or wherever. Why not one for "Tug Of War"? it's one of Paul's masterpiece albums.

JK.
I hope those albums are given the deluxe treatment aswell (Ram being my favourite album) I also hope RRS & Tug of War are given the deluxe treament aswell. Only time will tell I suppose!

the Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey video is from the James Paul McCartney TV special, isn't it?

there is really no point in creating rumours now anyway. We´ll se what´s next in a month or two I think. I hope to god that McCartney 1 + 2 won´t be in the same package though.
