I've come across a few titles that even go back to the days with The Beatles, "Songs of Love" and "Carnival of Light" What other unreleased songs has he made over the years?

One of Paul's better unreleased songs apparently was never recorded in the studio which is a great shame. So now it just exists in its original demo form and in live recordings from the 1972 'Wings Over Europe' tour. 1882

Wembley Empire Pool, London  (Wings) 21st October 1976.

'Take It Away' video shoot Elstree studios, London 23rd June 1982.

'Give My Regards To Broad Street' film premier, London 29th November 1984.

Docklands Arena rehearsal concert, London 5th February 1993.

Run Devil Run launch party, Equinox Club, London 30th September 1999.

        O2 Arena, London 22nd December 2009.

        O2 Arena, London 5th December 2011.

I have heard various versions of 1882 over the years, I think they must be studio versions or demos.

April 5, 2002, Las Vegas, NV, MGM Grand
October 18, 2002, Portland, OR, Rose Garden
November 4, 2005, Portland, OR, Rose Garden
July 13, 2010. Salt Lake City, UT, Rio Tinto
August 7, 2014, Salt Lake City, UT, Energy Solutions

^ Studio overdubs were made to the the live version but I haven't personally heard a studio only recorded version. Apparently no master tape was found for a studio version or any paperwork to confirm of its existence. However, the Wings Over Europe tour program listed a bunch of songs that may be played on the forthcoming tour. The song titles were listed as either having been released, not released or not recorded. Encouragingly 1882 was listed as not having been released which strongly suggests that it had at least been recorded prior to July 1972.

Both Red Rose Speedway and Off The Ground had enough recorded material to be double albums, but were pared back to single albums. There is a two disc version of Off The Ground in existence. There is also a ton of unreleased material from the 70's. Some of it has been released in the Archive Collections. Because he is so prolific, Paul probably has the most extensive collection of unreleased material of any musician. Do some research. There are lists out there on the internet.

Wings Over America - Cow Palace SF - June 1976. New World Tour - Anaheim Stadium - 4/17/93. Driving USA - Oakland Arena - 4/1/2002. US Tour - HP Pavilion - San Jose - 11/08/05. An Evening with Paul McCartney - The Joint at Hard Rock - Las Vegas - 4/19/09. Up & Coming Tour - Hollywood Bowl - 3/31/10. Walk of Fame Star Presentation - Hollywood - Feb. 2012. CBS-TV taping - The Night That Changed America (with Ringo!)  - L.A. Convention Center - Jan. 2014. Out There Tour -Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles - Aug. '14 and Petco Park - San Diego - Sept. '14. Petco Park - San Diego - June 2019.  Got Back Tour - SoFi Stadium - Los Angeles - May 2022

I'd say more so Bob Dylan. Notorious for abandoning studio material, reworking lyrics and or arrangements, and not always for the better, hence the cult following for his bootlegs. The stellar outtakes and unreleased for Infidels and Oh Mercy are a great example.

The problem is there is no publicly available comprehensive list of unreleased songs. And in terms of unreleased songs they can be put into the following categories. 1; songs that have leaked out and are on bootlegs. 2.; songs that we only know the titles of, either they have been mentioned in interviews by Paul, or other people who worked on the track. Or someone has got hold of some documentation confirming their existence. 3. Unnamed songs, for example if someone mentions that 20 songs were recorded for an album but the album only has 13 tracks. Another example is the track or indeed tracks Paul has recorded with Lady Ga Ga . 4. Songs we know nothing about. Paul is prolific and has his own studio and while we know he has recorded lots of unreleased songs we have no idea how many or who with or song titles. I read an article published 29 years ago in 1987 where he claimed to have a couple of thousand unreleased songs most just demo tapes. How many more has he written since.
