Thanks. Good to hear on the voice too!

Did the show start while it was still daylight? Looks pretty day light-ish in that photo.

Probably. Sun sets later in Europe, not before 9:00 pm in summer. thanks to everyone for the pix and setlist reports, by the way!!-

It did indeed, the show started late but it was still bright. When he did his 2010 UK outdoor tour all the gigs were performed in daylight until well into the show - it's one of the big reasons that I don't like outdoor gigs!

That's cool. Come to think of it, when I was in La Rochelle, France working in 1999, I was shocked that it was still quite light outside at 10pm!! His show in Boulder, Colorado in 1993 started early in daylight because of a curfew.

As a photo collector, I like it as everyone can take nice pix of the whole stage and sometimes get nice sunsets behind it too!

Provisional Set List - information surrounding the first encore is a bit sketchy but the evidence I can find points to this. Also not entirely sure where the Yellow Submarine snippet fits in but I found out about it between All Together Now and Michelle so guess it must have been somewhere around there. No Mr. Kite? Contrary to overwhelming disdain for this song on this forum, I find it very, very cool he's chosen this song for this tour- my favorite.
-
Good detective work Rocky.

I'd guess it was in there but wasn't reported on Twitter.

His 2004 St Petersburg show was performed from start to finish in daylight!

Back from the SDF, my second Macca show in less than a week...like in 2002, hehe... Some random thoughts : - Show started around 21.10 instead of 21.35, a definite improvement. - His voice with A LOT better than in Marseille where it really seemed he was willing to leave everything on the table until he couldn't do it anymore, no pacing. That was really obvious when he croaked through IJSAF after Amazed. None of that tonight, hard to understand since he played two shows in a row in Amsterdam since. Guess he needs to keep the pipes working. - Sound was also A LOT better than in Marseille even though I was in the stands tonight and not dead center of Gold GA. - I was disappointed when it seemed he was going to play the same setlist as in Marseille since GTGYIML was there...but we got "I saw her Standing There" in the first encore after Another Girl, Hi Hi Hi and CBML, thanks Paul! - Even though it won't be for a while now I'm a lot more hopeful I'll get to see him again than after the Marseille show. - The Stade de France wasn't completely packed like for the Stones last year (crowd of 76,495) but there were few tarped areas, I'm guessing 60,000+ PS - Yes we got a snippet of Yellow Sub before Michelle, too bad he didn't play a full version, it would certainly be a big crowd pleaser. PS2 - No I'm Looking Through You ! It was Face like in Marseille, too bad since I'm Looking Through You is a favorite of mine.

What an amazing concert! Yellow Submarine, Michelle, four songs during the first encore. Show began at 9:10 PM and ended at midnight. The stadium was packed, and it's huge!

Let's be clear. Yellow Submarine was not performed as a song.
