Paris, France - Stade de France - June 11, 2015 - ARCHIVE

I confirm the little surprise of the 1st encore. 4 songs : Another Girl Hi Hi Hi Can't Buy Me Love I Saw Her Standing There Paul performed the set list of the 1st London gig + Got To Get You Into My Life + Michelle + a little bit of Yellow Submarine.
-
The only reason Paul sang that little snippet of Yellow Submarine was because some of the people down front started singing it. Paul played & sang a little bit on his guitar & Wix played along for a few seconds on accordion. That was it. Sounded checkers: what did you think? I was not impressed.
-
Clarification: what did you think of the organization of the sound check. I was very impressed with the sound check itself, needless to say, and also the concert. The organizers of this sound check could learn a lot from the folks that do it in the U.S.

It did indeed, the show started late but it was still bright. When he did his 2010 UK outdoor tour all the gigs were performed in daylight until well into the show - it's one of the big reasons that I don't like outdoor gigs!
All the UK 2010 stadiums except cardiff - they closed the roof about 10 minutes before he came on to force darkness on us all!!

Hampden Park doesn't have a roof. It still wasn't fully dark when the gig finished.

Yeah i know it doesn't, that's why i just replied to Rocky saying Cardiff closed the roof, when he'd said all the UK stadium gigs were played in daylight. I've seen him at Liverpool twice outdoors where it's light for half the gig, i agree it's a weird experience.

Just a heads up that the Paris show is available in decent quality on Dime. Listening to it confirms that Paul's voice was 10x better than in Marseille (or Paris 2009 and 2011), pretty miraculous but it works for me and makes me hopeful I'll see him again! As a side note has anyone seen official attendance numbers for Paris ? I'd guess 65000+ based on the few tarped sections right at the top and the 76495 of the Stones last years, but I've only seen either 50000 or 80000 so far from normally reputable sources !
