Good thread! I think he would look much better with a beard, like Ringo. And I think he don't shave everyday and I remember see some pics that proves this (zoom and you will see): http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/10/16/1413443788634_wps_3_British_singer_Paul_McCar.jpg
OMG, he looks terrible in that photo!
He looks like he just woke up.

Let it Be was not filmed at the Abbey Road studios at all. It was partially filmed at 3 Savile Row in their recording studio in the basement there. (And of course on the rooftop the famous live concert in January 1969) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let_It_Be_(1970_film) They started off at Twickenham (beginning of the film) in this big drafty sound stage and then got fed up and moved to Apple on Savile Row. You must not have a copy of the movie. I saw it in 1970 in the theater, later saw it again in 1981 at a midnight movie screening, then won the VHS bootleg video at a Beatles convention raffle. The quality of the tape has deteriorated, so I was glad a friend was able to burn me a nice DVD copy off one she had. I've seen that bit before from Let It Be. Poor Paul seems so tired and frustrated.
I have at least 10 versions of Let It Be on DVD. It seems to be one of the all time favorites of bootleggers. I even have one version that has a commentary over the movie. (I need to look for that one & watch it again) ladyleslie wrote
That's great you have a DVD copy rather than VHS, so the quality is better,..
Just because it's on DVd it doesn't mean the quality is any better. It is usually just a transfer of the bad VHS. But the video editing tools are better & some people have tried to enrich the picture. Look at some of the recent DVDs Paul released in his Archive series. They are no better than the bootlegs.

Well, at least with a DVD print you don't have to worry about the color fading even more, like you would if you just had the VHS. Was looking at my VHS copy of the "Let it Be" film this morning... I got it from Amazon, and there are no end credits on mine, where it tells that the film was made at Apple and Twickenham... it just ends after rooftop concert when there's a freeze frame. a few people have downloaded the whole movie online, and I was able to see the end credits, etc. this morning. There are so many different versions of the film out there... there's another thread on this board that talks about when it might be released by the Beatles on DVD...

Ringo seems to keep after trimming his beard...that's the thing, if you don't keep a beard trimmed, when you're older, it can start looking scruffy.
Scruffy isn't a bad look for Paul either, lol... but I know what you mean. If he had a short trimmed beard like this, it would be another good look for him

Thinking of "dreamy bearded rooftop Paul" this morning, lol

Found this old thread... it's kind of fun to look back and read some of our comments!
Paul looks gorgeous here of course..
Love the beard... and think it's from the time of the Let it Be sessions?

^ Probably! I prefer the beard shorter, like he had it in the fall of 1968, or clean shaven. Well, I did love the 1967 mustache, though!
-
Yes, definitely like the Sgt Pepper 'stache too! Clean shaven, mustached, bearded, whatever... he always looks great!
(This was probably taken during the Sgt Pepper recording sessions)

^ Most definitely!
